Did a mixed grow of Cali Connection and DR Greenthumb Seeds and results:
Cost per pack (sample)
CC Tahoe= $125
DRGT OG KUSH=200
Doc's seeds are almost twice the price but they are S1's.
Yields:
CC Tahoe = 1.9 oz's per plant avg. 40 day veg 70 day flower
DRGT OG = 2.8 oz's per plant 40 day veg 55 day flower
Smoke report:
CC Tahoe = taste 8.5 bud density 6.0
high 8.5 (with 3 hits) duration of high 45 mins
DRGT OG = taste 9.5 bud density 8.5
high 9.0 (2 hits) duration 2 hours

Conclusion: although DRGT seeds are very expensive the final cost after comparing to one of the best strains out there, the cost is very competetive.
There was also some DNA Genetic strains (OG #18 and LA Confidential) that were not up to par for comparison.
DRGT's experiance really comes out after growing out his strains. IMO CC strains are over hyped and DRGT's are under hyped. There were also other strains grown DRGT Chemdawg's which is more powerful than both the above strains with avg. yields of 4.5 oz's per plant.
DRGT wins hands down with potency and yields

Spot on! I have grown most of Greenthumb's gear over the past decade and have never been disappointed. I don't know how he does it but I have never seen a hermy or male in his fems even when I tried to induce one. All the strains I got were the truest representations of what I was looking for so it was good value for money I figure.

Greenthumb's strains are way underappreciated and yes his Chemdawg is wickedly good

Well if you got almost an extra ounce more per plant and it took 1/3 less smoke for the desired effect and it lasted more than twice as long and the taste was better and the bud density was better and it was harvested 2 weeks earlier it sure makes the Dr. Greenthumb plants look like a bargain to me at $75 more. That extra 22+ grams per plant alone pays for the whole thing and when you multiply that by 10 plants...

This more or less reflects my experince with greenthumb. I have gotten more keepers from them than any other bank. The guy knows his stuff.

any bad reviews about this peeps? i might try them next time...just the price are little bit over the top.

If you would of read the OP you would know they are not expensive for what kind of weight and quality he got. Compared to the CC these are cheap. Plus most of the Doc's gear is Feminized I do believe and that IMO is worth more.

If you like og you will love the alien crosses from cali connection. heavy yielders of grade AAAA weed.
Alien bubbas gave me 5 zips of dry bud on 3 gals of happy frog.+ swerve is one stand up cat that does not turn his back on his customers.I went thru my dr.gt growing phase and grew some great weed but now i'm on my cali connect kick again since after trying thier new gear has me wanting more. The alien crosses are otta this world.you will not find any weed on this earth that is as frosty and potent as what they are now offering.dont take my word just ask any seasoned head who has grown them out what they think.
