pretty much what the title says. It asks for name on the card, but there is no name on the card. Is it possible to just write bogus name and address, but have it shipped somewhere else?

You need to register the card. Look on the back of the card. There should be a website. Go to the website and register it with the name you are using to place your order,and the address you are having the order delivered to. After that you are good to go, and you can use that website to track the amount left on your card. I hope this helps

I have never registered a gift credit card, and they always work just fine, buy it from a bank walmart anywhere for that matter, get a gift card that you don't have to use your ss ( i have not heard of that). Every card I have gotten I go there (bank ,store) give them money and they give you a card, just make sure the site you order from accepts those kind, the dr and gypsy do for sure
