Kosher Kush Mini Review

So, I have been curing this one for a few months now, and although I have sampled her along the way, I could't get a good full impression until last night. I took out a small nug, ground it up and placed it in the water pipe. Three rips later and I was questioning if I had taken too much. Here's the review:

Kosher Kush is a stretchy plant that fills in nicely by the end of it's flowering cycle. I take it 65-70 days from 12/12. The growth and structure of the plant are similar to the Skywalker Kush I previously reviewed, but the buds are more dense and there are fewer leaves. This makes it easier to trim, but less ideal as a hash plant. It is also fairly smelly while flowering, but I'm having trouble describing the smell. Chemically with floral and a bit of citrus maybe.

When cured the buds are very dense and require a grinder to get a good even smoke. Even ground up it is like hash in that it just keeps going. There is so much resin and oil that the buds will stay lit for awhile before going to ash. The smell is not different than when in flowering, and is very similar to the Skywalker here as well - sweet, fuel, chemical citrus. The Kosher is a slightly deeper, more earthy smell where the Skywalker is a bit brighter or more lively. The taste is a bit sour, pungent and floral. It is quite nice and very detectable in the air after a session.

And onto the buzz. Oh man, this was awesome. At first it hit in the head pretty strong and made me question what I had done. It took me a minute to get a grip and by that time the body buzz came in it's first wave. A very warm, deeply relaxing "buzzing" massaged my body. This is probably the strongest indica stone I have experienced and it was blissful. It relieved all of my tension and stress and it just kept coming in waves. My mind was in an extremely chill, peaceful state and I think I was sporting a permagrin. There is a sensual gentleness that the buzz provides and mellows everything out and slows everything down before pulling your eyes closed. It's quite a ride. Strong but smooth, and certainly enjoyable. The best part was just the warm vibration that seemed to put my whole body in a state of peace.

Great review, my friend...I have been wanting to puff on some Kosher Kush for quite some time now.

Do you have any pictures of the flowers? Or possibly the plant IN flowering?

Either way, thanks for posting and have a good one, man.

thanks for the review. How long did you veg for? what was your pull for it? what light really growing under? I've got a kosher right now going on and probably will be pulling it in about 4 to 5 weeks so I'm looking forward they having sample of it.

I don't have any pictures of it in flower, but it took on a slight purple hue when it was ripe, just like the advertisement pictures. I am a horrible photographer, but here are a few shots:

I grow nontraditional in a micro cab with a one week veg on 2 inch clones. I do a SOG with 1 liters, so given all that it was about 5-7 grams per plant, which probably doesn't tell a traditional grower much. I fit 15 of those in a 1x2 foot space under cfl. I think it's about 30 inches high. It was average in size, but because of the density of the buds, the final weight was above average.

amazing man 15 in a 1x2 space
Yep, 3 in and 3 out every 2 weeks can give me 15 if I take them 70 days (10 weeks). Some strains don't go that long and it frees up some space and I may end up with only 12 plants. Plus, with the perpetual system the canopy is staggered, allowing more light to reach each plant. It's all based off of a system set up by a guy named Dr. Bud over at ICMag. I would provide a link, but I am not sure of the rules on that.

Don't think there is any rule against linking to another site.

It sounds like a very cool system, and if you don't mind, I'd love to see a picture or three of what your grow area looks like.

May I ask exactly what you're doing for lighting (ie how many CFLs, and what type)?

In response to Jogro, here is the Dr. Bud link:
Compact SOG with CFL's
That link was the original inspiration, and although cryptic and dramatic, the concept works.

Check this thread out for a guy that took it to another level:
Anti's Microstealth Cab

Anyway, I use 4x42 watt, plus 2x26 watt cfl's in the flower room. 2x26 in the mom room. These are current pics, and don't include Kosher Kush, unfortunately.

Those are quality pics, certainly a system that would interest a lot of people, would be keen to read more. Thanks for posting links. PS, how did you find Reserva Primeda to work with as a seed provider---good germination rate, delivery etc ? they got some lovely looking stuff on their site and I might get an order in.

I'm currently growing her from an amdam seed myself. This was 2010 Indica cannabis cup 1st place winner in Amsterdam.

I'm even more excited after seeing your pics.

Voyagers Menu Apr 13.jpgLike I said earlier, smoked Kosher Kush in Amsterdam when me and my good Lady visited there in March. I took lots of pics in the Dam and I forgot I had this one. Its a menu pic for VOYAGERS coffeeshop, and as you can see KOSHER KUSH is on it, commanding a decent price. I don't know if you guys on this thread are UK or US or Kanucks or what, but if any of you go there check out Voyagers, good shop and I believe Kosher is now a standard item on their menu

Both strains I have ran of Reserva Privada are top notch quality and certainly as advertised. I have had zero issues with germination or otherwise, but I am only 2 for 2, so it's not a huge sample, but I highly recommend their seeds based of these strains. As far as delivery, I got mine from the Attitude and it was fine, though not as prompt as Castle or Sea of Seeds.

Man I got a pack of these and popped 3, all of them were mutated in some way. Two didn't make it and the last one took 3 weeks to grow out of its weird phase. It's starting to veg out real nice right now I'm hoping I get something similar to what people are saying about this strain. Around my area all people grow are Og so I'm very familiar with that and I've heard its similar to the Og in growth and effect. I've seen some nice grows online but my luck has been real shitty so far.

seeing Sour Power at the top makes me wonder if I should get some of those seeds.

I smoked some more Kosher Kush last night and I am loving this strain. It is like somebody puts a warm blanket on you. It makes your whole body buzz with euphoria. It leaves your mind with enough clarity that you don't feel spaced out or confused, but brings a sense of peace. It does make you feel blessed, as the description says.
