Strain Reviews: Critical Jack, Skywalker Kush, Pineapple Express, Super Lemon Haze

Critical Jack (Delicious):
This strain grows medium-tall in height and develops a huge, dense main cola. The smell while growing is strong, but not overly skunky, so the smell could possibly be disguised as something else. The dense head cola molds easy and requires very low humidity and good air exchange. This is by far my biggest yielder. I flower mine for 9-10 weeks.

Once cured it gives an interesting smell, like rotten fruit with some spice. It’s a strong smell, but unlike most weed. It has been described as catpiss by a friend, probably because it has a sharpness to it. The taste is amazing, however, and tastes like spicy, piney hash. It’s some of the best tasting smoke I’ve had. It truly is Delicious.

The buzz is a mix of euphoric and relaxed, with a social aspect to it. There is no paranoia, and more of a desire to be a part of things, rather than retracting into a stoned bubble. It seems to provide clarity and focus in small doses and I often find myself laughing on it. It’s fairly potent weed and 2-3 good rips will have you feeling groovy for a while, while remaining functional. Best consumed during the day or through the evening with some friends, this is connoisseur quality herb.

Skywalker Kush (Reserva Privada):
This strain likes to grow tall and branchy. It shows an amazing amount of vigor. It gives little smell while growing unless disturbed. The buds form a thick, sticky resin and have several leaves making a good trim somewhat difficult, especially because this is some seriously sticky bud. I flower it for 10 weeks.

When cured this weed smells like sweet flowers and fuel, with a slight hint of citrus. The taste is similar, and the amount of thc can burn the throat and make you cough.

This is very strong pot, and gives a deeply relaxing stone that shuts the body down and eases pain and tension, but keeps the mind engaged. It seems to open up perception and alert the senses. More than a bowl and it may knock you out, but even after a few hits you probably aren’t going to get much done that requires being active. Best consumed at night, or on a lazy day, this is indeed medicinal bud.

Pineapple Express (G13 Labs):
This plant lives up to the hype. It grows medium in height with very sturdy branches that support a large yield. It grows a great top cola that is dense, but just open enough to prevent bud mold from developing. The smell while growing is of sweet fruit with a hint of skunk. I flower it for around 9 weeks.

When dried it smells fruity and sweet and somewhat mild. Calling it pineapple smelling requires some imagination, but it smells fabulous. The smoke is very smooth, with soft hints of sweet fruit.

The buzz is energetic, but not racy or paranoid. It’s the kind of weed that makes you want to clean the house and rearrange the furniture, and then go for a walk. It is quite motivational. Even still, it doesn’t have a nervousness or sweat-inducing paranoia that some strains have. The upbeat, energetic buzz won’t knock you out and is a perfect daytime smoke before any activity. It also gives an undercurrent of happiness and good vibes that keeps whatever you are doing enjoyable. This is a really balanced strain that can be enjoyed all day.

Super Lemon Haze (Greenhouse):
SLH is bit finicky, quite stretchy and rather thin and lanky in appearance. It doesn’t really pack on much weight until the last few weeks. When it does, the buds form in a more open structure than most plants, but with a density and heaviness attributed to the high resin content. This is the most sparkly, THC-laden plant I grow. Mine finishes in 10-11 weeks.

There is little smell while growing, but once dried and cured it gives a very fresh, lemon cleaner fragrance that makes me want to eat it. A friend describes it as a lemonhead candy smell. The taste reflects the smell, although it is fairly subdued. It is a smooth smoke.

The buzz hits right in the head instantly and a rush of electric energy moves in quickly after. There is a psychedelic edge to the high and a fun, light-heartedness about it. It is rather trippy and the alternate dimension it puts you in makes common things seems humorous. It’s hard not to laugh on it, if for no other reason that how baked you are. In large amounts in can be difficult to get a grip on reality and paranoia is a possibility, but in a comfortable setting that’s rare. This is a fun smoke any time of the day, but it’s potency and trippy high would make it hard for me to do anything too serious on it. There is a hard crash after about 3 hours, and if timed right could make for an enjoyable evening preceding a terrific sleep.

I grow in a micro cab, so I can't say much about traditional yields, but ask any other questions and I'll do my best to answer.

great reporting! +REP! you get straight to the point, and give a very clear picture of how everything smokes and tastes. i really don't like this site's clunky ass checklist for "smoke reports" that does a better job OBSCURING info than revealing it. i only read the summaries for those as the wall of useless info you have to pick through for vague hints of a strain's taste and buzz etc. are much easier to summarize and with more detail in plain english.

now i can't wait to taste my own pineapple express UFO. i had one unknown pineapple strain a couple years ago that really did remind me ofthat ruit, though with a "darker pinier" flavor that was more weed like.

as to catpiss? that's one of the phenos of haze. i'm not sure where it comes from, but the fruity phenos are the thai dominant ones and i think the spicy phenos are columbian dominant. it doesn't help that there's technically several different haze brothers' hazes based on which year it was grown.

great job and i wish EVERYONE that grew a strain reported back on it like this for those of us whose ONLY concern is how astrain smokes and not how fast it yields and how much or what it looks like. bummed about critical jack being so funky though. i wanted to try that, but skunk ass in my room ain't gonna happen ever. it's funny at how much that preference seems to upset some like "you have some nerve hating on skunky motherfucker!" LOL

i got 3 pineapple express seeds about 2 years ago and out of those i had one really good one and it is still going to this day. they were all good. but i kept the most indica of the three. it does not need much attention at all. your feedings can be a little high or low and it does not mind. the yield is awesome, at least on the pheno i have. off a 2ft cutting veg for 6 weeks i get between 2 to 3oz. in 56 days. also i have noticed that the cuttings root extremely fast and it takes a little more time to flush the all of the other strains i have had

Yeah, that's something I forgot to mention and meant to. The Pineapple Express roots faster than any other plant I run. It roots first every time and always has a great root structure formed in the 2 weeks I give them in my bubble cloner.

The checklist works well if you delete everything not pertaining to your report. That's what you're supposed to do I'm pretty sure. People don't though. I agree, usually more a PITA to read than anything.

Nice reviews here. I'm definitely tempted to pick up a few packs of Pineapple Express.... in the hopes sometime in the next decade they will get grown.

Marvelous, MARVELOUS review bro!
You've motivated me to give a review myself and hats off to the ppl that bumped this!

But I just finshed the Delicious Seeds Critical Jack this weekend, and I agree with pretty much EVERYTHING you said about it!!
I had NO height tho, but I LST'd her, so that explains that.
& I'll say that I've yielded somewhere between and 1-1 1/2 oz. from it.(don't have scale ATM but will comment back)

But I threw in a group of 6 seeds late, just to supplement my first harvest, and it was a bit of a rash decision, so those seeds only got one week of 18/6, and then were flipped to 12/12 with the rest of the room.

But the smell of the Delicious Seeds Critical Jack is MOST UNIQUE! It literally smells nothing like bud, until maybe the second day after you've started your cure. After a couple days curing, mine almost smells like it has a bit of UK cheese in it! It's some LEGIT FUNK!
So as far as growing this under stealth conditions, I'd say HELL YEAH! You can get by with an Ona Bucket no doubt! I do!

And I def. agreed with the mold possibility is you don't have good air exchange! I didn't have any probs myself as I have a few fans in there, but I just know what you mean!
Flowering my pheno smelled EXTRA woody...Like straight WOOD to be honest!
& I LST'd her when she was around maybe 5/6 nodes tall, and at the same time I hacked off all of her fan leaves on the side nearest the soil to be tied down. From then on I just let her grow on 12/12....So like I said didn't have any height...

She went the 1st few weeks of flowering under CFL, then I got a T5VHO and she went under that for a few weeks.
Once I cleared out some space I pretty much started playing musical chairs with the plants under the 2, 150w HPS that I have and the T5VH0.
And recently I got a 400w HPS so she finished sayyyyyy.......her last two weeks or so under that! And she finished in a 3 gal smart pot.

I've smoked a couple of spliffs of her tho and I'm already getting the FULL EFFECT after just two days burping..
The jar smell like UK cheese mixed with cedarwood and salt & pepper! I know that's a lot goin' on lol but it's legit what it smells like!
The high is one that made me type this response after smoking some haha!! I harvest at really close to 100% cloudy, and the trim was breeze..
WAY MORE bud than leaf!

The high is a body high for a guy that smokes 3/4 spliffs a day...5 when I'm feeling smokey :joint:
The euphoria last for a good hour or so for me, so for someone that doesn't smoke much, this'll get you we're you need to be.
It's a VERY nice sativa high!

Great review. I feel the same way about Pineapple Express. If I had to write a review it would be almost identical. For anyone that reads this and decides to grow Pineapple Express, I highly recommend topping it.

I got one freebie of the critical jack by delicious, and no spice in my pheno. Just fruity greatness. I also tied down all tops so I got many big tops in a dwc bucket, probably 2 1/2 - 3 oz dry. I agree with the original smoke report except, my was defiantly one hit kill( three hits and your were good for two hours or more), super happy weed and did I mention fruity in both taste and smell. I did not have any mold issues even though I used no fan for that one, luck of the draw on that though. Made a rookie mistake of killing clones because at a month it was just starting to form buds and didn't won't something that takes over eight weeks(I regret that one, I know I could have revegged but plants don't seem to keep vigor after they bloom).

Connoisseur buds for sure and worth the ten plus weeks for that pheno. Seriously one of the best highs and flavor I have ever experienced(and I've smoked a lot of strains in my time). Everyone went nuts for the tiny little bit I gave out, only to the closest of friends. It was 100% head stash chronic. Cheers.
