Looking for these things:
- Does well in colder environment (50-75 F for the most part)
- Finishes early
- Shorter
- Tough plant, I will not be watering/checking very often. But my region does get a fair amount of rain. So I guess mold resistance is also pretty important.

I'm going to be going for Indicas that are native to mountainous regions I figure, but if anybody has anything specific they wanna shout out, go ahead.

i would recomend any purple indica strain. most purples are aplicable for cold regions.

Perfect example of this is Sweet Purple By Paridise seeds. chek thier website.

Thanks greatdayn and mattso. Purple sounds good to me...After a little research, I think I'll either be going with Reeferman's Early Purple Kush or Paradise's Sweet purple. Those Reeferman seeds are expensive, but it sounds great. Sweet Purple sounds like a much better buy for the money, but 2.5 meters is damn tall.

if your growing outdoor in the ground not in pots they are going to get big! But thats ok. would you not want 1lb per plant?

Besides a 2.5 meter tall purple plant sounding damned conspicuous to me, I don't know what the hell I'd do with two pounds of pot. I personally could never smoke it within a year, I'd just end up giving it away to friends or my brothers. I'm only growing for personal use, and only outdoors because my girlfriend doesn't want me growing indoors.

But I guess out of a pack of ten that I germ and stick in the dirt I can't count on many surviving. I won't be checking on them often and figure half will male anyways. Realistically then 1-2 will survive to harvest maybe...So maybe the big plants are the way to go. Would starting them late so they don't veg as long work?

Hell, maybe I'll just get both. The sweet purple is pretty cheap.

also a good sativa texada timewarp, it is native to the canadian coast so it can handle the cold weather and it yields copious amounts.

If anybody cares I went with a pack of sweet purple and two other packs of Afghan Indicas. I just love Afghani stuff...I had to. I also got some LR2 for shits and giggles. Figure I won't have to get any more for a few years now.
