i just made my first seeds purchase yesterday, hindu kush for my second grow (first has a few more days to finish and is bagseed). i bought them in person from a local seedbank, though my understanding is they make their own seeds by breeding the males and females from original hindu kush seeds (from Sensi, i believe) because while selling and producing seeds in my country is perfectly legal, importing and exporting them is not.

i wanted to only buy five seeds, but they were out of five packs so i opted for the ten pack. it was $90. the guy told me he'd give me some free seeds because i had to buy more and he handed me seven seeds bred for outdoor growth in the summer. i told him they not to bother because those seeds were worthless to me as i don't plan on growing outdoors anytime soon, so he looked through his seeds again and found me a pack of five hindu kush seeds that only had four seeds in it that he tossed in for free. in the end i walked out of there with almsot triple the seeds i originally wanted for only forty dollars more than i planned on spending. now i have enough seeds to trade some with my buddy's younger brother (i think he's working with puna budder right now).

i've been smoking purple kush for the past few months (some of the only kind level bud in my area right now) and i'm so glad i can now just grow my own kush babies.

how good are they as mothers? if anyone can help by pointing me in the right direction i would be grateful. i know i have enough beans to pull this next one off from seed, but i'd still rather grow out some one-time moms a) to conserve the seeds and b) for the cloning experience/benefits. i'm looking to germ 3-5 seeds to find two decent moms to quickly glean 10-15 clones (i can accomodate ten plants max when flowering single-cola).

thanks.. yeah that first grow of mine was almost a disaster, except i did yield SOME good buds. less than a half ounce off one and a half salvagabe plants, and it wasn't connoiseur by any level but it was better than 'local' herb and the experience i got was priceless.

i posted this thread a long ass time ago, but it's funny because i only JUST germed my first H.K. seed this afternoon. i've got ten diesel ryders i germed on monday that are all under a light now, and one b-52 bomber there as well with two more bombers and the one h.k. still germing.

my second grow is just getting started but i'm really impressed with the results so far. i guess that's to be expected though 'cause anyone can veg plants, especially breeder's genetics. expect to see better looking buds off this one because i'm using the same products and practising better technique. i was flabbergasted to see a few purple calyxes last time.. hopefully we'll see a lot more this time.
