Why is greenhouse seeds so crap

i had great germination rates with my GHS super lemon haze, but 2 plants out of 3 hermied, and even the 3rd one had deformed leaves such as some having only 3 leafs and some were 5 leaf, and even just 2 leafs, it was weird so ill not be buying their genetics again.

I like GHSC seeds. I think the genetics are great. If you follow them on Strain Hunters you can also learn a lot about how they get their seeds. Usually from native farmers in Africa, Spain, and India and a few breeders through out the the UK. They also use machines to sort the seeds which I thought was pretty cool. Remember, growing out a dozen seeds doesn't really tell you much. I've got bad batches from Cali Connection, DinaFem, Nirvana, and a dozen other breeders, but never did I thought to blame the breeders. Its just seeds and sometimes you get bad ones. Sucks? Yes. But better get used to it. This is gardening after all.

If you want consistent results every time better start learning how to cook meth.

Other than the hawaiian snow I have not been happy with what I got from them in the past. Didn't like about 5 other strain and they won't get anymore cash from me. All seemed to be knock off's or watered down strains of the originals. Never had any germ problems and plants looked okay when growing but the taste and punch wasn't even close to other breeders like Mr Nice,TGA,DNA,Bog,Mosca and Ace seeds. Way more hype than quality and anyone can buy some cup trophy's with the right marketing team,

I have ordered from lots of seeds companys GHS is just as good as any out there. Just because you had a bad experiance with a few beans doesnt mean anything. I have had 8 out of ten seeds fail from a top ten breeder b4. Buy a pack of tomato seeds and see how many duds you get. Greenhouse is no diff. I have had some dank from them and some crap. Just like every other seed company I have orderd from.

They suck because they dont care about you they care about your money all there good genetics left when shanti an neville did. They would rather spend their money on coloring seedd than getting better genetics

lol, i like this answer.. but the real answer is pretty much that the king of cannabis, mr arjan, isn't a breeder, never was, never will be... greenhouse really made their name back in the 90s when they had ace breeder shanti, also part owner of the co at the time, breeding all of their gear..
things went south, and shanti left and sold arjan his part of the co, and then took his mother stock and went over to mr nice seeds with neville shoenbaucher or w/e his last name is..
mr nice now has all of the genetics for the cannabis cup winning strains such as white widow, now called black wiow, and a few others that gave greenhouse the name they have...
arjan is more of a salesman, and a damn good one at that, but far far from the breeder who tries to sound like he is..
they are more concerned with dropping near gear every other month then quality.. it can take years to create and stabilize one strain, yet ghsc manage to drop more new gear then pretty much any other co. out there.. that right there should send up big red flags.. it takes time to create quality cannabis strains..
look at say simon and serious seeds.. they have maybe 5 or 6 strains out.. but they are all top notch, quality that has been worked and stabilized very well.. they are more concerned over putting out a few very good strains instead of tons of bunk.

yah, greenhouse may have won the cc a few times in the last few years, but don't think that amounts to a hill of beans about the quality of their product.. they may have had on distinct pheno of super lemon haze that was super bomb.. the thing is, you might have to crack 100 beans to find that one pheno, and the rest of them are no where near as good.. that's not such a great image imo.

there are much better breeders and seed co.s out there.. many of them are small time, but again, they concern themselves with a couple of strains that are straight up fire, work those lines to create stable hybrids, then release them to the public..

Couldnt have said it better, if your a arjan jock rider spend your money on iffu seeds. Theres plenty of other real breeders who have the same strains but much more potent. Thats just my opinion.

All the n00bs get hooked on GHSC bcos there everywhere. You watch a few videos on youtube about them looking for strains in another country, there grow videos (which you should take with a pinch a salt since some plants in the videos are from cuttings). So there's alot of shit plasterd in your face and I guess it's easy for n00bs to choose them because the have a multi-coloured sparkle fem seed-line.
I fell for it and my kalashnikova went hermie, but i'm not realy going to hate the company from what was realy 50/50 my fault + shit genetics. I just now know that from research you can find alot of stuff about breeders. I didn't have a clue and i'm guessing n00bs won't know about Shantibaba and the past. The more you read on here the GHSC is 50/50. People hate them and it works for others. Fair play. I just think that there is better breeders out there with amazing product that i'm happy to use my money & time on.
