What would you say are the top indoor strains of the last 10 years?

I'm thinking 'top strains' in terms of good yield and good high.

The reason I'm asking is not for mental masturbation- like 'Rolling Stone's top 100 Guitar Players'-with Eddie Van Halen at #91???

I have been out of the loop for a few years and I'm wondering people think are the quality strains people will be remembering (or struggling to remember) from this period?:weed:

I'm pretty sure most of the previously listed strains have been around for 20-30 years, except maybe c-99, gdp and jillybean. In the last ten years I've been enjoying all of the diesel crosses but still don't think they qualify. Is there any true new strains in the last ten years or just reworked old ones? I dunno?

#1 in my opinion, OG Kush et al, has hit the market like a freight train the last few years. Maybe b/c of the music references, especially rap. There has always been the Kush (named after the mountain region), but it just recently blew up with the OG crosses. As for the yield on this strain, you will find mixed results from researching online. I am in the middle of my first grow of og so I can't answer from personal experience.

I grew some clones (at local respected dispensary) of grand daddy purple, but didn't yield much at all using my organic 1000w shps setup (<1 oz per plant). It might have been a clone from a low producing plant though. The taste was awesome, but the yield was just terrible. Even the ones grown outdoor yielded poorly - and didn't taste as good.

GDP should kill OG in terms of yield. OG is an average at best yielder. Doing Ken's GDP (pretty standard everywhere these days), you should yield very well.

I've done 4 different OG's. The only one that had a decent yield is platinum OG which was average/very slightly above average.

I must have bought bad cuts or it just didn't perform well in my setup. The blue dream cuts I grew at the same time produced more than twice as much per plant (>2 oz) as the gdp.

Maybe I will try a gdp clone from blue sky/oaksterdam in the future.

Confused about this one.

Most of the said varieties are older than 10 years.

But in the last 10 years TGA strains have been among the top

C99 is an oldy but a nice one ,

sativa: Jack Herer. Chocolope. Super Silver Haze. indica/sativa hybrids: OG kush, White Widow, Big Buddah Cheese, Sour Diesel, Armageddon. indica: Northern Lights, Afghan/Paki/Hindu-kush, blueberry, purps. Those are some of the best and most popular strains. my favs are: Nirvana Chrystal. Nirvana Raspberry Cough. DNA Chocolope, Blueberry, Cheese, and most of all Northern Lights.

I'm not sure what cut Oaksterdam sells. What you want is to make sure you're getting the Ken's cut of GDP. It's very common and should be easy to find. I believe harborside has it frequently.

The strains in bold are not good yielders at all IMO. (assuming you mean af-pac kush when you say Afghan/Paki/Hindu-kush)

Critical Mass seems like it might fit the OP's description.

Those Iranian auto flowers are interesting too. I'm not sure they have revolutionized anything yet though as they are somewhat ridiculously expensive beans.
