I read your post and I can suggest the following. Please keep in mind that I am a relative newbie at this however I was looking for the exact same type deal you were. First off you probably know this but many strains are indica/sativa blends. Sativa is what you have described, a cerebral uplifting high. Indica is more of a body stone. So then you want to look for something that is a largely sativa strain. I can't speak for anyone else but Marijuana Seeds (cannabis, pot) shipped worldwide provided me with some great feminized seeds, they also have average heights on a lot of the strains. Grow for the Gold

You can force a plant to flower at a certain height. Say for instance you want 1 1/2 to 2 foot plant just put them into a 12hr night/ 12hr light cycle and they should start to flower. Also during the first couple - 3 weeks of flowering the plant grows.

If you don't mind a long flowering time, there is only one plant to grow.
