Question Collecting pollen

I am not very familiar with collecting pollen or growing out males to cross polinate, but can someone tell me how it is done?

To be more specific as I understand placing pollen on flowers, but how do you set up a station for growing males? Do you do this at a seperate time from growing females and wash down the same room or is there a way to do it at the same time? Thanks.

I'm no expert, but I do know doing it in the same room you're growing females would be very bad. I wouldn't even keep them in the same house.

I keep mine at a spot about a mile away from my main spot and then just cut clones off the females I want to pollinate and when they root put them next to the males.

I see. So people do it in two different locations normally? Didn't know if there was some way of containing it then cleaning up afterwards or not.

I see there is a lot of information there and well explained about cross breeding and etc.. Didn't find anything by fdd on that though. My initial question was WHERE do you produce pollen, but according to someone before you take it to a different location. I surely wouldn't try and collect pollen while I was also growing a female unless those were my intentions. Just want to start collecting some pollen for a change. If I just had a place to do it.
