Hey everyone, hopefully you can help me out. Basically I'm looking for a stud plant so to speak.

I have a cut of OG, I'm pretty sure its the original. The person who I got the Cut from originally got It way back in 1996 or 1997.
I plan on crossing it with whatever males I end up with. Of course I'll be keeping the females as well and may include them in the project at some point.

Heres some main characteristics of my cut:

Its a sativa dominate plant with dark thin leaves. They continue Down into purple stems with relatively short internodes.
The buds are pretty dense and chunky like an indica. They are Covered in orange hairs and usually end up with a bit of purple by harvest even if its been warm.
The smell is a sort of pungent sour with a touch of lemon. It Tastes like a chemically citrus with a touch of spice.

The most important features in the strain I want are:

1. Mostly Indica
My plant is mostly Sativa so in order to maintain vigor I would prefer a mostly Indica plant.

2. High Potency
Above all else, I smoke to get high, period

3. Good Yield
The plant has to be commercially viable but doesn't have to be an INSANE producer.

4. Good Bag Appeal
Its gotta look good, preferably something purple or white.

5. Smell/taste
Maybe something fruity or sweet.

Any Ideas?

Thinking about stability suggest a top bred seed company like serious seeds. ak 47, kali mist or white russian should all do well. wonder is you toke another og seed if the traits would stabilize like the new seeds available now?

Thats very true, you don't want to get a bunch of recessive traits that you have to work out. My first question is this... Most of the Northern Lights I've smoked is really low odor. I want a powerful smelling plant, is NL#5 better? And also is it still vigorous? I know you can only back cross and inbreed so much before you start getting mutations stacked that destroy vigor and make the plants much weaker.

no, it's the least odoriferous of the NL lines. As for vigor I don't know. It's been in the top 5 best seller list at the VSB for years now so it can't be bad or people would of stopped buying it.
Me I like low odor and short.
