Default What's the best highest yielding strain?
Hi all,

My friend is getting ready to start his first grow in a 8ftx8ftx8ft walk in closet. He will be using 2 x1000 watt hps to flower and using soil.

Anyways he was wondering what is a good strain to grow for the most possible yield? particularly for his set up and soil. He wants to have quality bud but wants to yield the most possible and use his room to maximum potential.

Thanks again!

Some high yielding strains are northern lights and big bud. They are both pretty low odor as well.

Himalayan Gold . . . mines starting week 8 of 12/12 with 6 GIANT (18"-24") colas, with no special treatment. Can't touch two hand fingertips around them either.

I have a similar size plot to you 2.5/2.5/2.5. i only use 2 600 hps and 2 200watt envirolites hanging low!. i guess 2 1000watt would give off too much heat without GOOD ventilation? Still, it gives off around the same luminems with less heat, but as a rule , the mre light the better! Anyway i recently grew 30, pot of gold, look her up, i yielded about 5oz each plant, of Bone dry, very sticky, very strong bud!you do the math its easy to grow too!!

how many of those do you think my friend could successfully squeeze into that grow space (8ftx8ftx8ft) without if being to crowded during the grow. i see they branch out quite a bit. Thanks again

Very nicely done. Yes it will be ventilated very well. A can100 fan and carbon filter which moves about 700 cfm as an exhaust fan. Also around a 200-300 cfm inline fan connected to the air cooled reflector hoods of both lights to keep them cool. Plus 2 or 3 oscillating friends for optimum airflow. How does that sound? Any advice on number of plants and also what size pots did u have them in. Very very impressive though. well done and thanks for your help again!

Did i read that right though? 30 plants at an average of 5 oz a plant. Thats 150 oz which is like right over 9 p's. that is amazing especially off of just 2x600 watts. how long have you been growing man?

Why thankyou! I started messing around around 5 years ago, i have been using my current plot for the past 2 years, I've used the same amount of light the the same amount/type of neuts that i use on every grow, just that one plant gave the biggest yield by far! smells like chemicals, like, pine disinfectant, but fruity a little sour! Im gutted i never cloned it, but i didn't have the cloning room then! And you commented on my 600's. I also use 2 200watt envirolite they give off the same as a 400 hps! less heat tho! i also use red lights to flower
