What's the strongest strain?

While I understand there are lots of factors that go into producing high THC content, I'm curious what the local consensus is... and eager to witness the shitstorm a simple question like this can create.

While I am looking for a currently commercially available strain, feel free to pass on your third hand knowledge of long forgotten strains of legend and near extinct exotic varieties.. I love that shit.

I personally like Mary Jane but I think you will find that most people here prefer Mary Jane too.

I would break down your question to have two answers.

The most well known lethal strain that is readily available is White Widow.

The strongest strains are generally not available to seedbanks and the worldwide public.

My mentor says that there is no confirmed strain at even 30% thc; white widow is around 25%. He also says if you really like to get stoned, you don't waste your time with buds, you go straight for the hash oil.

Of course that's easy for him to say he lives in Groningen!

I have the most legendary White Widow story..

I lived in Melbourne, Australia between 2000 and 2005. When I first arrived I couldn't get bud anywhere - didn't know any smokers. A while went by and I met 2 guys on the same day who both offerred to sort out a 1/4 oz for me. I say yes to both of them just to be sure and whaddya know they both come through the following day. With the same gear! Looked like it came from the same plant even!

I set to blazing and soon discover that every time I smoked this stuff not only did I get I incredibly high, but I always got a raging errection about 20 minutes into it! Having no mates, no more pocket money and a 1/2 an oz of mari-viagra-juana... well, I wound up developing callouses.

6 months later I had made some stoner mates and found the confidence to tell this story for the first time. After the many jokes subsided they told me that I had been smoking White Widow and arousal was a well known side effect of the strain.

I still love White Widow and will obtain seeds promptly. Luckily, I now have a girlfriend. If I am smart I will be very nice to her until they mature.

...but white russian is ak47 X white widow...the 2 most crazyiest strains i think it would be better hen both. since having both charactorisics

I have my own similar story. This is how I started smoking again, after about 15 years. This was about 6 years ago - my buddy and I both had recently gotten divorced and decided to go on a cruise. The first night we ran into 2 very hot babes. Turns out it was a mother-daughter pair (I swear this is a true story). I set my sights on Mom, who was about 42 at the time (I was 34). So Mom turns out to be a stoner and was eagerly trying to obtain some bud onboard, without much success. Being the opportunistic and very horny guy I am or was (it had been about 3 months with no action), I promptly decided to obtain some bud when we hit Jamaica. To make a long story short, I did obtain some herb and Mom and I spent the next few nights smoking and screwing like rabbits. It was the first time I'd ever had sex stoned and it was a mind blowing experience. I haven't stopped toking since!
