    RO V's carbon filtered

An RO will remove chlorine if it was has an activated carbon prefilter, which most do I think.

    RO V's carbon filtered

seems the most votes are for RO and also against RO from users saying they've tried it and it's not worth it. fairly inconclusive :-?:blsmoke:

    RO V's carbon filtered

This thread seems to be suggesting carbon filtered is best. The higher ppm and better taste of the fridge water is probably a carbon filter, maybe with some mineral additive (an Ro filtered fridge would be pro :P). What's in the bitch? Chlorine seems to be the issue with mineral content undecided.

Interesting read, thanks! Anymore votes? :P

    RO V's carbon filtered

I don't know of any reason why the mineral content of the water would be bad for the plants, could actually help the higher it is. Chlorine, I know they seriously hate it, so I can see more of a reason for running it through a carbon filter. Humans hate it as well, it's the only reason I can see...

    Questions about smell??

As is running an intake if you plan to switch the fans off overnight - as the tent will loose negative pressure and the smell will escape down the intake. I'd exhaust the tent into the room it's in and try to keep the doors and windows shut on it (apart from the intake duct). If the exhaust...

    RO V's carbon filtered

I've seen people mentioning it, but wanted to get some kind of numbers from the more advanced growers on who's doing it. Thanks guys!

    salt build up in coco

Don't bother with those stake type drippers, they're a pain in the ass. Sometimes they don't drip, the rates are hard to control and they only ever drip in one place, so the media won't be uniformly damp. When you pull them out to flush the container, the big stake hole will disappear and you...

    salt build up in coco

I'm not sure at the percentages your using, but running coco with about 30% nutrient in it I find it helps to flush once a week. I started doing it with tap water, and then rinsed through the ph / nute but, after checking my run off after a ph / nute flush, I found it was miles too high, up near...

    Questions about smell??

You can forget smell if you use a carbon filter. I've seen the ideas on making them but personally I'd recommend you buy one until you're more comfortable with the whole deal. That way you'll get a good result first time and know how everything should work. Activated carbon is really messy shit...

    Anyone with Sativa harvest expierence

Grown Hawaiian Snow from Greenhouse Seeds, which is strongly sativa dominant. Sativa takes forever, forget rushing. Long enough that I gave up counting weeks. It will be done when it's done. The buds should be way, way fatter. You can also watch the pistils for signs that it's getting close...

EC Pens - should I spend a lot?

You're right, and I didn't mean to suggest you guys don't, just that I wasn't planning to set and forget it - no offense meant. I'd still like to hear how much you've spent and what you think of it. I'm open to spending more, but I've already spent about $1k or more and, if the cheaper ones...

EC Pens - should I spend a lot?

I'm quite green fingered I think. I check my plants daily and always have a look over the leaves for even the slightest signs of something being wrong. I figure this is the best way to judge what they can take with each strain being different. The main issue is, once I find what they're happy...

EC Pens - should I spend a lot?

I already have a pH meter that cost about $250, it was used for something else. So I have a no problems with that. I haven't been using an EC pen since following the packs dilution guide has worked out perfectly. I'm now thinking about bumping up the solution strength, but I don't want to have...

    nute burn?? pics*****

A pH of 7+ is way too high, you need to get that down! It also makes me wonder if you've been adding excess nutrient or the plants are locking up. If your pH is that high, the nutrients in the solution can't get into the roots easily.

Hmm, never seen this one before.

So long as their warm enough that you'd be happy sitting in that temperature while they sleep, they're probably good. It only turns into an issue if you're doing something like me, pulling in fresh air from an outside source. If you leave it pulling the air in overnight and the temperature...

Do i really need CO2 for my flowering plants?

You probably won't be able to pick up the solenoid at the welding stores, it's not something welders have to deal with most of the time. Plus, if they have them, it'll be for the big name brands like Miller / ESAB and Lincoln, which will be more expensive. If anyone ever asks, just say you've...
