Trouble controlling temps from my 2-duct ac unit

Are these units in a room? If so controlling the temp may be easier to cool the room first, then use your intake/exhaust to regulate your temps. Running the ac ducted into the tents with the Thermostat outside will not be able to reliably control the temp like you have already found out. The...

    Cmh+hps+led in a 4*4*7

Well what I see is you can split it into two of the SAME wattage. Like I said be smart and call them. They are going to tell you that what you want to do is not going to work and is not recommended and is dangerous. I’m putting it as nicely as I can but until you talk to them and get over the...

    Best rooter cubes/ cloning

Jiffy pellets, rockwool cubes both stand up and won’t fall apart. I prefer rockwool but that’s mainly just because it’s what I use. 1.5” for seeds and 2” for clones. I have used jiffy pellets also and they work fine.

    Cmh+hps+led in a 4*4*7

Yeah well, while blowing shit up is fun for all. This guy probably lives in an apartment complex surrounded by kids so if we can avoid a fire by letting him know this is a BAD idea it’s better for everyone.

    Cmh+hps+led in a 4*4*7

I believe your missing the whole technical aspect of this. That splitter is designed for 2 600w Bulbs. Not a 630 and a 400. That splitter is just that, a splitter. It is not a magic diverter that know exactly how much power to send to each output. You will get roughly 500-550 watts to each plug...

I can’t see How this even possible? Have you tried powering up those bulbs at the same time? If not when you do I’d have a fire extinguisher ready and hide in the corner. Seems to me like a hazard waiting to happen. I don’t see how the ballast would be able to handle that load like that. What...

    Mylar or White paint?

I used reflectix insulation on my walls and have been happy with it, but I think if I had it to do over again I would have just painted white. Simple, easy and cheap for the same results.

    Tent set up

I’d figure on getting more light in there and using a passive intake and just a 4” exhaust.

    First time grower

Dictating grow room size by number of plants is very difficult. There are many different types and styles of growing. A better way to dictate room size is by choice of lighting. Depending on the quality of led unit you have will determine the size/footprint it will cover. Is it 300 actual watts...

You can do it either way it makes no difference in usability. Whatever is more convenient for what you need is what I would do.

    quick electrical advice

Yep, just get a surface box extender and some conduit. You aren’t really supposed to run standard Romex NM-B wire in a conduit but it won’t hurt anything. The correct method would be to buy some 12awg Thhn/Thwn wire in corresponding colors and run that in the conduit for code compliance. It’s...

    quick electrical advice

No there’s no difference between a 220 and 240v circuit, they are the same thing. Most receptacles for 220/240 are rated for 250v. Adding this receptacle is perfectly fine and to code if done correctly.

    quick electrical advice

How did you come up with 300v? It’s highly unlikely that’s that case unless your power company is screwed up. If you are referring to the wires saying 300v on them it’s because that is the max amount of voltage they can handle. My bet is if you tested them with a meter you would be seeing 220v +...

    quick electrical advice

Ok if the thermostats are on the heaters themselves that makes it much easier for you. Yes you can just add a receptacle to the box. Just be aware that the heaters operating on that circuit will reduce your amperage for the receptacle. You will just need to add a third wire to each pigtail and...

    quick electrical advice

Are the other heaters still all hooked up? Where is the thermostat? That 220v circuit should only have 3 wires, 2 hot wires and 1 ground. I assume if the heater you speak of is gone that they just put wire nuts tying the wires together and stuffed it back in the box correct? What color wires...
