Micro 200W CFL SCROG with supplemental LED + HPS lighting, start 6 weeks into flower

Harvest One plant was done much earlier than the rest and cut down at week 10 The rest was cut at week 12 Some plants were very dense but the strawberry cough was very fluffy. That plant was still the biggest though and accounted 2/3 of the end total weight. Final results: 73g dry from 200W...

Micro 200W CFL SCROG with supplemental LED + HPS lighting, start 6 weeks into flower

Close to 8 Weeks flowering The strawberry cough still has a bit to go but the others are starting to finish up. I have raised my goal to yielding 50g+, curious to see how it works out.

Micro 200W CFL SCROG with supplemental LED + HPS lighting, start 6 weeks into flower

This journal starts 6 weeks into flowering, here is some setup info: Growspace: 23x13x18 inches (lxwxh) Main light: 200w CFLs Supplemental lighting: 2x 10w LEDs on side (always on), 400W HPS outside of box for about 30 min a day Carbon filter: large one left over from previous hps grow...

What's with the ridiculous yield claims on seed packaging?

Well anything close to 1g+/W is only doable with enough experience. As somebody previously mentioned, 0,5g/W is a better goal for any starters. The key is getting as much plant coverage as possible and imo scrog has always been a winner here.

What's with the ridiculous yield claims on seed packaging?

Heres another example of a decent 400w HPS grow. It yielded just over 1g/w

    400w MH & HPS ~ 4 plant Blue Cheese ~ ScroG

Hey, the holes in that screen are too small. Dont bother trying to squeeze and branches through it and just cut the holes bigger when/as needed.

Is it possible to take apart a UFO grow light and rebuild in a custom shape?

Its Red + Blue 8:1 with 660nm 450nm and comes with heatsink. Wonder what they will do to the temps, for whatever reason my temps went up to 36C from 29C for no real reason. Currently trying to find out what happened.

Is it possible to take apart a UFO grow light and rebuild in a custom shape?

Yeah its always great to play with new toys. Ive gone with ordering 2x10W and am planing to add them to the two big 65W CFLs mounted in the center and probably unscrew the other 3x20W CFLs. That would mean 2x65W CFLs and 2x10W LEDs. I just dont have a comparison grow with this growbox to see...

Is it possible to take apart a UFO grow light and rebuild in a custom shape?

Im curious to the whole thing and will order some. Do you know how much heat these 10Wers give off?

Is it possible to take apart a UFO grow light and rebuild in a custom shape?

As this is for a small microgrow, either as an addition or on its own, how many watts do you think would be needed for the size of about 2 pc grows next to eachother? Here is a first look at it, scrog will be added. Yes I know they are all in the same pot but thats just something I wanted to try.

Is it possible to take apart a UFO grow light and rebuild in a custom shape?

I have build a lot of stuff and always managed to find out what I need to know on the way. Since I do like to experiment, I thought adding some LEDs might make things more interesting for a while. However, Ive got to say I dont know much about these 10w LEDs, that I need a heat sink or an AC...

Is it possible to take apart a UFO grow light and rebuild in a custom shape?

Hey, thats a great reply. I would be more interested in building it myself and I dont need 90w either. Do you know of any grows where these have been used? Are there any alternatives to this or should I just go right ahead and order?

Is it possible to take apart a UFO grow light and rebuild in a custom shape?

I would like to do some experimenting with LEDs in small spaces. 90w UFOs are rather cheap, but the light is too focused and I would rather have them spread out more for an area with less hight. Should it be possible to take a UFO apart and use the components to make a customized LED light...

First time grower experimenting with cheap LEDs

Dont be disappointed, youve done a great deed for the sake of science! We need these kinds of grows to figure out what works and what doesnt. Whenever a grow doesnt work out and the results arent shown then the next person will just repeat them. Great job pulling through with this!

Who here has experience building their own LED lights?

Id like to try building my own LED grow light and am looking to order the proper LEDs for the job. I know I need blue (about 460nm) and red (about 660nm) spectrum light, but but dont know exactly which LEDs are good and which ones to avoid when looking online to order. For those who have built...
