48" isn't that low, if he can cool it a 600 would be great. If you can get the same result from some LEDs that waste less power and cause less heat that's probably a good thing in this scenario. For a 20x20 flowering room LEDs don't seem to be practical. Wish it were different, looks way cooler...

Why not use a passive exhaust? Instead of into the roof, out through the side wall. Make a passive intake. Pull cool air from the apt and exhaust into the apt as well. Let your Ac handle it.

Things have a way of not going as planned in this hobby/profession. That being said, keep an eye on your goods. If you're pushing it into the attic I would consider some sort of ozone option as well if it's a small can fan. If it's larger it's fine. Ozone in the attic is fine.
