    Newbie Log -- Very First Grow (600w) 12 * Cree 3590CXB

3500k is the color temperature of those LEDs. This is closer to red than blue. Blue is better for vegging, red is better for flowering. If using for both I think you did the right thing by going with the 3500k.

DIY Passive cooling with PIN Heatsinks SST120 and SST140

Quick question. I have a build planned for a cabinet I have made. I had a thread about it here https://www.rollitup.org/t/led-diy-build-help.927250/ but did not get much activity. I was planning on using Two 44" 5.886 profileheat sinks to mount (4) cxb 3590's 36v per. Looking at this thread I am...

Connecting a multi plug to a timer

As long as timer and surge protector can handle what you plug into them you will be fine. You can run into problems when overloading them.

SOS DIY COB NOOB needs help.

Ya don't wire just one unless that amperage is covered by the cob (Seems these cobs have a max of 2760 mA). Those directions must be for parallel wiring. Personally I would get a new driver and wire them in a series. You could do parallel but I would suggest resistors inline on each cob if you...

SOS DIY COB NOOB needs help.

Looks like the output voltage of the driver is 48v. The cob needs somewhere near 32v. (DO NOT Try the series with just one cob. Just looked at specs and single cob can't handle that current). Looks like the driver cannot handle more than 1 cob (in a series). Just looked quick but probably your...

First Grow Tent need help with light

Have you been training your past plants? SOG has value if u want quick flowers and plant count is not a limit. Usually would not be doing any training with SOG. Maybe just defoliating lower branches and lollipopping your colas. 40 g a plant would be pretty incredible. With SOG you could go...

    Room flooded! Please help!

Could have a hole in the reservoir somewhere. If that's not the case the pump might not be shutting off / closing. Based on your diagram if gravity is allowed to push water then it will flood through the plant pots.

    What are the pros/cons between 38.7V, 52V, and 69.4V

All the charts I have read seem to show the cons being more efficient at lower drive currents. Fluctuation doesn't seem too bad but at higher amperage there seems to be higher heat to photon ratios. Check the specs on those cobs at different drive currents. Also the distance to the plants may...

    Help!!

Try black as ground and yellow as +12v (positive). PC fans frequently use green and blue as sensors. A lot of them can run at different speeds based on their motherboard.

    BlackBerry rDWC SCROG Grow

I was looking at Kind a while back and I have gotten off that wagon. I do think they are one of the better LED light companies but check out the DIY stuff. I have a thread of my own for the light I am going to make. It will save you a ton of money on a 1000w light.

    Questions Regarding Reservoir and Nutrients

Either would work but I suggest the reservoir. If u mix in the control bucket and it needs to be topped off by a plain water reservoir then your nutrient levels will be diluted. Mixing in your reservoir will keep your nutrient level the same all the way through. Much easier to maintain.
