Don't cut yourself short. provide yourself room for that amount of growth and i believe you allow the plant to mature and not just be a prepubescent child, instead grown stuff like a fine a wine. all the best :), i'll be watching :D

Opinion: I would hope for one fem and one male, take a cutting off the fem and get yourself an unlimited future supply - while still being able to grab some flower. Males are handy.
