    it's not a necessity for ONLY effect/functionality, it's a step for those who want to maximize the output potential of the chemicals in the plant if you don't decarb, then you basically just are throwing the THC-A/CBD-As into the waste bin = loss = -$

    I agree with you at first thought, but then thinking again you'd want all the THC/CBD-Acids to convert to THC/CBD, because that will give you more material to work with if you want to do a secondary conversion say to CBNs for example, which is a fuller realisation of potential towards the PM...
