Hi all recently upgraded from cfl to HPs, I can't have my lights where I want them because of heat. Leaves become brittle and curl at anything below 2 foot distance. I have a 4 inch exhaust fan but a passive inlet at about 3 quarters of the size. But since my inlet is passive can I make it larger?

Basically i was at my friends home and he is growing with a hps, he did have a 400 watt bulb but he has put a 600 watt bulb in however his ballast is only for the 400 watts. Is this a fire risk or is the ballast only pushing 400 watts through his 600 watt bulb thus making it a 400 watt.

Basically my friend told me his jack flash was large enough and i should get a cutting of him, its looking strange though, uneven growth im worried it may not be worth growing due to its form.
