    Bridgelux vs. Cree

So looking at this, it looks as if CXA3590's were just a tad under the efficiency levels of the Vero29's. Did the 3590's really get about a 15% increase in their efficiency in the new CXB3590's? If so, damn! If not, a little clarity? I'm still looking into building my 12 cob fixture for my...

    CXB3070AD, CXB3590CD, 420nm, 660nm, and 730nm oh yes.

so I got wayner all interested in cobs, he wants to see any prefabs that are of actual consideration, or what it would cost to build something similar and or better. Rough and quick math I told Wayne we could do a cxb3590 set up, all 50's, 1000w for about $1500 give or take 100. Told him too he...

    CXB3070AD, CXB3590CD, 420nm, 660nm, and 730nm oh yes.

When you say <20% blue, referring to running cxb3590's, would a balance (out of a total of 12 cobs) of about 1 4000k for every 2 3500k? I'm looking to drop the uv plan....for now...and see what I can do with 4000k instead. I looked at the data sheet on digikey and from the best of my...

    CXB3070AD, CXB3590CD, 420nm, 660nm, and 730nm oh yes.

Easy enough, and will do on the results. Will be a bit of time though, probably a month until I can start up again. Got thrips, and got really tired of cramped elbow space in my bloom so we tore it down and are redesigning/building it. Going from a 4x8ft room to a 9x11 with a slanted ceiling of...

    CXB3070AD, CXB3590CD, 420nm, 660nm, and 730nm oh yes.

Decided to man up and spend the extra few bucks for the 3590's, thanks for the input though. Never knew before that different temps of cobs, even in the same series can have different top bins. Good to know!

    CXB3070AD, CXB3590CD, 420nm, 660nm, and 730nm oh yes.

I did last round with 4 cxb3590 3500k's, along side an Area 51 150w (first led). Under the 4 cxb's, it seemed like plants at 3ft max height did just fine as long as proper training of the tops and shoots was done well enough during veg. Basically train them out the keep the middle as open as...

Any input on Vero's and their benefits is welcome as well, can't seem to find too much.

    13/11 vs 12/12 ??????

If you're using HID lighting then I wouldn't risk it. People do run 13/11 with hps, however you run the risk of naners (a slight type of herming out). If however you are up to using led, then you can get your flower cycle up to 14/10 with 0 problems. Looks into flower initiators in the LED...

    CXB3070AD, CXB3590CD, 420nm, 660nm, and 730nm oh yes.

Next set up I intend to build in the coming weeks. However, unsure of a few details so I thought I'd put it up and allow some cob veterans give a greenie some input. Here's the plan, roughly. 8 new CXB3070AD's- 4@3500k and 4@3000k? to go along with my already set up 4 CXB3590CD 3500k...

Trying to figure out how to calculate watts per sq cm for a passive heatsink. I know this of course all matters on what profile I get, but lets say for example sake I was looking to run a 50w cxb3590 CD on a 4.230'' or 5.88''. My idea was 40cmsq per watt? I have your spread sheets from...

    420nm vs 440nm, debate continues....

sorry, mis-posted. On my way out the door to class, otherwise I would be more than happy to. My best advice is look around on here, youtube, just google UV for cannabis, or even easier "420nm for cannabis". A lot of what you will find is generally based on plants in general, as far as what...

    420nm vs 440nm, debate continues....

All the information I can find on it points to 420nm, theres a few videos on youtube as well that explains, in detail, why plants absorb and utilize certain nutrients/energy/light at certain ranges. Seems like 420, 530, 660, and 730 are your 4 basic "measurements". Still learning myself

    420nm vs 440nm, debate continues....

fucking sweet! Beats the hell out of my triple diode on a single star, however I am still interested in the triples; so long as they can produce the 410-420nm range.

Just did! Keep your eye out for it on there, gonna send them some photos of it just before harvest day as well

    25 finger leaf! Any thoughts?

Both of the mutants are getting close! Chunkin up, and even starting to smell a little appealing. Very green, piney smell until about a week ago. Judging by overall average trichome status, I would say another 2 weeks for 1, and an extra week for the other. Will give a photo and hopefully a...

    420nm vs 440nm, debate continues....

Trying to decide on using a 420nm star, or 440nm star. The 440's are much much much easier to find, and I even found a triple diode on 1 star, which you can pick for each diode (I would do 2 deep reds, to 1 420nm UV). Currently I'm running 4 cxb3590s at 200w total, along with my Area 51 150w...

    First male trouble situation

So I found my first seed pod today on one of the 3 plants I just got into my flower room. I could only find 1 actual pod, and yes it was open :O I immediately sprayed it lightly with water, and got it the fuuck out of there. The other 2 didnt have any developed pods, but I could see that they...

    420 nm LED's for flower?

@Waiks I love that you wanted to build a plywood 4x8x8, mine is 4x8x7 lol Take it from me though, bitch needs to be square. My table is just under 30'' wide, and 5ft, soon to be extended, but even on casters its a squeeze even with smaller plants. I've done 2 rounds through it so far, and my...
