    4x4 grow cabinet

Hey folks I've built tons of grow lights and different cabs over the years but v1.0 is just gathering dust, time to rehome. Everything works perfectly like the day I built it, pics are from today 16x cxa3590's on chunky heatsinks with active cooling. Mean well drivers, ~500w total power...

All joking aside, I've never actually seen a side by side on here. I just bought my LED's to match my Tesla and LuLuLemon activewear.

Old skool here, need help finding right information on led ! Please help !

The experiment gets more interesting if you put a plant in both. All unused photons bounce off the plant and become heat energy, some exits the plant through transpiration in water droplets. Only the photons that actually drive photosynthesis and get stored as sugars are removed, and of those...

Old skool here, need help finding right information on led ! Please help !

Here you go bud: Transpiration serves to evaporatively cool plants, as the evaporating water carries away heat energy due to its large latent heat of vaporization of 2260 kJ per litre. Just because you are aware of something does not mean you understand it.

Old skool here, need help finding right information on led ! Please help !

It has been explained on this sub forum dozens of times but here's a quick refresher.... Both 600w luminaires put out 600w of heat. It's just a matter of when those watts turn into heat that varies. In an LED tent or room all of the light you produce will convert to heat once it hits enough...

Samsung strip PCB's: a review after 3 years of rough use...

Obviously too late now....but in the future, Digikey is generally good about sending replacements if your package gets damaged by the shipping goons. I have only ever ordered 2ft strips for this reason. Easier to ship without damaging, easier to hit the minimum order quantity for the volume...

    Best led for veg specifically???

This syntax is a little confusing. To be honest I have used 3000k cree cobs to veg, 4000k & 5000k 98CRI Thrive strips to veg and I can barely tell the difference. To OP: Anything will work, I wouldn't complicate things with UV and IR/far red. Find some cheap 4ft strips, throw them in a...

Setting LEDs at the right height to select phenos "thriving in intense light," killing the weak

I'm enjoying your experimentation @Apostatize Don't let the jocko douchebags get ya down, just put them on ignore and keep asking questions. Reality is, their first year of grows were probably also a mess but everyone wants to pretend they are an expert right out the gate. A little humility...

LED drivers with Sonoff as timer reliability

I have a bunch of Sonoff's and I found them to be pretty finicky when I was trying to set them up. For a new veg cab I bought some Kasa smart plugs and they were braindead easy and can handle 15a. Interested to try out the Ilumi Meshtek controller that @Randomblame linked a year or so back if...
