you can smoke resin! its potent becuase all the smoke from the bud you smoke attaches to the the side of the bowl and the THC builds up with each toke. But what i found interesting is that the bowl full of rez i smoke was still slightly damp and when i smoked it, it gave me a hyrdo high.
