    Quick question about power consumption

This doesn't mean you'll have 400W to spare -- that's just the maximum wattage the PSU can draw. How much it actually draws depends on your hardware and what's running. If you really want to be sure on the power usage, I'd recommend you buy a cheap Kill-A-Watt meter (roughly $30) to measure...

    spots on leaves???Pics

I'm afraid it looks like you have a spider mite problem. Look under the affected leaves and you should see them. See here for getting rid of them.

    ebb and flow questions

Agreed. That's a tidy setup, Victor. One question: how did you connect the drainage to the plastic sheeting? Just silicone it up?

    best time to clone

Yep. Clones are genetically identical to the parent plant. A nifty way to determine the sex of a potential mother plant is to cut a bunch of clones and as soon as they have some roots, put one of them into flower. It won't be worth finishing, but you'll be able to see the sex. If the clone...

1 week from planting (look at pics)

Just as I thought. Even still, I'm astonished at the tight veg growth. I knew CFLs were good, but not that good. Well there you go, nicbelliz. Fill up the soil around your baby and bring that light down really close. Probably around four inches until she (well, hopefully a she) has more foliage.

Holy space cows. I stand corrected on needing more lights. Damn nice job, Toke! How close did you keep the CFLs?

Unfortunately, retina-burning TVs are a delicacy.

it's all about lights, but which ones

Ian: Don't sweat it, mate. It's an easy mistake to make. :) Myname: It certainly won't hurt the plant if you were to use all six of them for both veg and flower. The lights merely emit more of a certain colour, alongside the other spectrums, so the plant can use them all just fine. That...

it's all about lights, but which ones

No, it's the reverse of that. Higher colour temps produce more blue light and lower temps produce more red. Color temperature - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia 6500k = blue = veg 2700k = red = flower

    betsy-4 wks into flower

I'm not so sure about that. If you used a 250W HPS light, you'd spend slightly less on electricity and end up with more lumens (~25,000). A tradeoff, of course, is that you wouldn't have the current luxury of engulfing your lovely lady with light.

The little fella is growing too tall for its age. It's starved of light, so you need to beef up the lighting. How close is the light? I suspect you need to move it closer (but not so close as to burn it).

When to start the flush cycle?

I have the same question. Those images, though useful, are only for when to actually harvest. How do you know you have two weeks left? My guess is it depends on the strain and your individual setup, so the first time with a new strain is all estimated. That sound about right, Mogie?

    Slowing a centrifugal fan?

Xenon, if we had Walmarts in my part of the world (Aus), it'd be so much easier! I should be able to locate something at the local hardware store, though. Roof: True - a potentiometer/rheostat might be worth a try, as I'm mostly playing by ear as to how fast I need it. But that's my main...
