if you use seeds and go straight to perlite, you have to give them a lot of care until they develop. i never fill up the reservoir at first, i just water enough for every day so that the roots don't dry out before they hit the res.

what's the point of running a 400 watt hps on 12/12 from seed? considering how much you'll harvest compared to how much running the set up costs you might as well keep buying.

i've got a small veg area, about 1.5ftx2ftx2ft. right now i have 4 cfl's and i'm thinking about switching to a single 70w hps bulb. my main question is with a hps bulb as small as 70watts would i still need a ballast? any help would be great.

this has probably been answered before, so sorry. there's a ton of pages in this thread though! i had some seeds crack and i put them in hempy buckets to sprout and i'm wondering if i should be giving them plain water until they sprout leaves or should i be feeding with nutes already?
