I'm damn near 60. Just started growing about 2 years ago and have had a lot of ups and downs. Great community here.

how far away should cfls be from seedlings (lowryder x amnesia haze auto)

I use 100W CFL's (not true wattage, just what they're comparable to, can't remember actual wattage on bulb) and I keep them 3 to 6 inches away from plants. I use 12 of them and have a box about the size of a cabinet. I've had pretty good luck with this set up. They don't stretch too much and...

2nd cfl grow- 12/12 from seed

This is a picture of one that I cloned from another plant when it was already in flower. I kept the 12/12 and it made just one bud. 58 grams after harvesting, but after cure it only weighed 22 grams. Still pretty good with 12 100 watt (actual 24 watt?) CFLs. This was my second grow and only had...

Hey everybody. Sorry I haven't been around, but a lot going on. I have completed 2 grows since my last communication here, and have harvested a little over an ounce each time. The bud is super stony, but have no idea what the strain is. I got the seeds from some brick weed I had bought last...

My actual wattage is only 276. 12 bulbs with 1600 lumens each, 23 watts. Have you ever cloned? I heard that the quality lessens with each generation of clones. Is this true?

Your English is just fine. I'm a country boy and understood it. Congratulations. Great looking bud.

    Welcome New Members!

Congrats on the sativa, that is my favorite, since I'm too old to want to live on my couch. So by lacking density, what exactly do you mean? Does this affect the density of the buds? I ask because in all honesty, I'm going to probably have to amend my expectations because I didn't expect them to...

    Welcome New Members!

Just wanted to check in since it's been awhile. I started a new grow back in August and am now in the 6th week of flowering, and you guys were so right about the light. I am now pumping out over 20,000 lumens (CFL) and it has made such a difference. I have a small area, but have filled every...

Replant Those Long Stretchy Stems ( Its Easy )

Ok. I just decided to harvest. She's been in flower for about 33 days and about 60% red hairs and to tell the truth I'm really nervous. This is my first successful (sort of) grow. I planted a seed just for the heck of it back in January. Sprouted the first week of February and only had regular...

Replant Those Long Stretchy Stems ( Its Easy )

I agree, but would like to add one thing. This needs to be done before the outside "skin" of the stem begins to harden up. If you wait too long, then the stem will rot when put in soil above the original soil line.

Oh, and those bulbs are CFL's.

It seems that I'm the only one answering my posts. Those "balls" that I was worried about sprouted beautiful white hairs out of them and now there are pistils everywhere at each node. I am a broke dog, so I'm going really cheap. I now just bought a 3rd 1600 lumen (100Watt) bulb and now have 4800...

Am I right about what I'm seeing? Does anyone have any experience with this? Do female flowers tend to look like a tiny "rose hip" before disclosing pistils?

    Welcome New Members!

Yesterday I thought I had found "balls" on my plant and was really bummed. Looked again today and there are hairs growing out of what I thought were "balls" and they are apparently little leaf bud (for lack of a better word) and they are opening up and long white fuzzy hairs are coming out just...

    Welcome New Members!

I topped my plant this morning. It really surprised me how much it has shot up during flower. I have 3 seedlings going now also and was wondering if I need to top them earlier to make them more bushier. I'm going to read a few of the FAQ forums, but just wanted to get in on the conversation...

    topping an lollipoping

Sorry, the top pair of leaves are what you want me to cut? I assume scissors are ok? Will that help the plant bush out?

    topping an lollipoping

Ok. By topping, you mean removing the top two leaves? I would assume pinching them off or cutting with scissors? They top two leaves are still relatively small, so

Can I ask my questions here? I didn't see anywhere to start a new thread. I have a question about topping.
