I am on my first indoor grow. My plants were put in 24 hours of darkness then i turned on my hps last night at 8pm and sat my timer at 8am. I left for work today before my lights went off, got home and i set a switch wrong on my timer. My hps basically ran for 24 hours after 24 hour dark period...
