Wife said to get rid of the smell or get rid of the plants!

Thanks, man. It was a quick and easy solution to a pressing problem. Thing lasted me about another 3 years before I quit growing.

    warthunder

Yup, plays across platforms with the PC guys too . PS4 players are at a general disadvantage because of controls, but after some practice it's doable.

    warthunder

I've been playing arcade air battles in War Thunder on the ps4 for a couple of years now. Addictive as hell, but a really fun game.

First time indoor kinda scared but feeling good.. :)

Got ya. Been a while since I looked into led lights and recommended distance and such. Sounds right on though. Looking good so far.

First time indoor kinda scared but feeling good.. :)

I've never used leds, but I would definitely consider lowering them quite a bit. Like to maybe a foot or so from the tops of the plants.

White Slime on My Roots and Airstones

I read this whole thread before I realized how damn old it is, but since I'm here and someone else will find it during a completely warranted freak out, I'm going to let you in on a miracle cure for slime/root rot/chunky crap in your rez floating around... (Besides not using silly things for ph...

Root Rot Problem, need some advices.

Try just a couple of drops of bleach in your tank. 2 or 3 ml. tops.

    Flushing out RDWC System?

I've: elevated a single res about two feet with a drain near the bottom, used a shop vac to fully empty buckets on the ground, and I've used a cheap pond pump lowered in with a 1/4" hose feeding to a water hose. All a pita. Also as long as your tap water isn't ridiculously bad it'll be fine...

WTF is this, and how do I kill it?

Doesn't seem to kill them, but they sure don't care for the oil. I'm looking all over the web, but still haven't figured out what they are.

Damn Nutes, you read my mind man. That's exactly what I'm doing right now!

WTF is this, and how do I kill it?

Kinda creeping me out. Still wanna know what they are though.

WTF is this, and how do I kill it?

Not a bad idea. In the mean time, check this out, I've got the pots fairly submerged, and the little critters are making a run for the edge of the bowl. There seems to be quite a few trying to escape.

WTF is this, and how do I kill it?

Another pic. I just sat the netpot in a bowl and soaked the hell out of the hydroton with a pretty high concentration of neem oil. Waited a few minutes, came back and there are three trying to climb the sides of the bowl. So, I'm guessing I'm repeating the process a couple more times with the...

WTF is this, and how do I kill it?

Quick backstory: my room isn't ventilated so I usually only grow in the winter months. I changed by dwc setup recently and started bagseed just for the hell of it to get a feel for the setup before growing from some seed. Now, I'm growing some WW fem at the moment, but letting two of the...

    Mini Split vs Window AC

I've got some experience working on both. Some window units have baffles in them to allow some outside air circulation, but I've seen a couple that don't. If you can find a brand without the option of circulating outside air in, you're good, but remember that it's gonna have more of a perimeter...

Water chiller made from dehumidifier systematized plan

Yeah man, I took the easier route for now, but that's how I'd like to a system in the future. Right now I just use my chiller bucket as needed. It's elevated, so basically I pump the water from my control bucket up to my chiller bucket, and it gravity feeds back to the control after the chill...

Water chiller made from dehumidifier systematized plan

Budley, I am. I do think the thermal movement might have "worked", to a degree anyway, but you're probably right that it wouldn't work very well. Might be a future project down the road for shits and grins.

Water chiller made from dehumidifier systematized plan

Well, it went. Lol. Actually guys, I decided to completely redo my entire setup. I ended up ditching my big 35 gallon tote res in favor for making up a RDWC with five gallon buckets. My main reasoning was that I rarely grew out more than three plants under my 400W, and I want to be able to move...

Water chiller made from dehumidifier systematized plan

Ok do it yourself folk. This is what I'm throwing together tonite. Already built the water chiller out of an old humidifier last night. Tonite I plan on connecting the two reservoirs and building the ductwork. Might end up needing an inline fan to help push the air out, we'll see how that goes...

    Economical Environmentally Friendly Rockwool Alternative

Thanks Vikerus. It would be a coco coir based product that is probably going to be bound together mechanically versus chemically. Hopefully I can get a picture up later tonite. My main points to focus on with the product are biodegradable, costs inline with rockwool, structurally stable (won't...
