    1st grow - 420w LED 4x4 in Coco - help!

Thanks guys; appreciate it. I have fem seeds so hopefully won't run into any issues on that front. I was going to train fairly hard but i'll take it easy for space given everyone thinks it'll cause issues! As this is my first grow, i'll use this as a way of working everything out. With...

    1st grow - 420w LED 4x4 in Coco - help!

Hi everyone, I'm about to embark on my first grow (medical); the room is nearly ready and I'm almost set to go, I just need a few pointers of advice! Key points: - 4x4x6 tent (1.2m x 1.2m x 2m) - 420w LED (12 x Cxb3590) - 9k but mini split ac sealed room - will be a coco/perlite grow...

How many holes (StinkBud) in the PVC posts, if I want to max out?!

For holes for the sprayers ... It depends on your pump. If you're running the red EZ sprayers as he uses, the common guideline is that these take ~20 GPH to run each, so if you have a 200 GPH pump, use 10 EZ sprayers. For the post ... it depends on grow room size and how you grow. I'd...

That's a shame, i'll be leaving the end of June so i guess i'll just miss out! Thanks for letting me know. I'll have to head back later in the year!

    Recreational dispensaries in Spokane area?

Hey guys, I'm not from the US, but i travel a fair bit for work and i end up in the US 4/5 times a year. I'll be in Washington state in a few weeks and was wondering if there are any recreational dispensaries like in Colorado? I'll be in Spokane but i don't think their are any there? I was in...

UK supplier for mains recycle timer?

Hey guys, I'll be running an aero cloner/veg system soon for the first time but i'm having trouble actually sourcing a timer for the pump. I don't want to run 24/7 as i've heard it can raise the res temps and fry the roots (root rot etc.) Does anyone know where i can get a decent reycle timer...

Space requirements for 600w of CREE CXA 3070

Wow, i didn't expect all this when i posted the thread! Thanks for everything guys, you've made everything endlessly easier! Now just to try and source some Z4 3070s! Easier said than done i guess! With the Z2 it drops from ~204 PAR W (Z4) to ~191 PAR W (Z2), so i guess if i can't find any...

Space requirements for 600w of CREE CXA 3070

Thanks for that Observe & Report! I'm a bit of a numbers geek, so that's gold to me. I'll be running the 3070's, not the 1304 ... i'll do some digging and see what the PPF is for my setup, but it looks like it'll only be a couple of COBs away in the worst case! Thanks, you're a life saver!

Space requirements for 600w of CREE CXA 3070

Thanks for the input guys, I was going for NFT for the flower as in StinkBuds guide (a NFT/ebb&flood hybrid) ... but i'll probably make change the design so it's more of a 3x3 grid than a row. Admittedlty, it will be my first grow, so it's probably going to go wrong. Things will happen i can't...

Space requirements for 600w of CREE CXA 3070

Hey everyone, I've decided to bite the bullet and go for an LED grow. I'll be using the much beloved CXA 3070 COB (10) with the typical meanwell drivers @ 1.4a - so i'm looking at just under 600W of light (~589w?). I know it's not the most efficient setup (lumens/watt wise) but the high price...

600W LED grow- watts per square ft (or meter)?

Hey everyone, I'm about to go ahead with my first grow; everything is almost planned out but i have a final decision to make. How big will my grow room be? I'll be running ~600W of COB leds (probably Cree CXA 3070's - see LED section) as they're doing well at the moment, in a stinkbud setup...

Phillips Horticulture new(ish) "Plasma Killer" HID lights

Hey guys, Just realised these have not been mentioned on here yet. I found them through an article in a hydro magazine i read and figured you might be interested. Their new "Daylight" spectrum bulb -...

Sealed room heat management without A/C or cool tube

I'm aware of this ... Their are other companies (such as rocket plasma) who make specific plasma for horticultural purposes - they done use the Luxim emitter (they use Topanga's iirc?). Of course, their are others (i-giant,ceravision,plasma international, etc.) Whilst heat may not be an issue...

Sealed room heat management without A/C or cool tube

Looks like it'll be a plasma light then >.< ... from what i've heard they pump out around the same heat as a 150w mh so that should be easy enough to manage. I can solve the humidity issues with a dehumidifier, so i don't mind that. Thanks anyway guys!

Sealed room heat management without A/C or cool tube

Hey Everyone, Just wanted to get an opinion on this: I'm setting up my grow room to use CO2 (400W HID in use for lighting) and don't really want to use an air cooled reflector (due people stating a ~10% efficiency loss). AC is out the question due to price and difficulty sourcing mini split...

Confused about aero sealed room with CO2

Thanks for the input! I've come to the conclusion it just depends on your conditions and your setup ... As i'm only having a small room, i'll probably just seal it up and use a dehumidifier to stop rot and use a split AC to control temps (and a little humidity) I know some people run air...

Confused about aero sealed room with CO2

Hey everyone, I'm about to venture into my first experiments with indoor growing and aero ... but i have a few questions about adding CO2. I'll be using a sealed setup, only small (3'x3'x6') to grow a couple of ladies while i work out how all the aero system works. I've read conflicting ideas...
