what about them exactly? omega gardens have already been mentioned in this thread multiple times along with me stating they are the most productive hands down, as well as discussing engineering of one..

Dutchy_Herbivoir: yes you could indeed get cardboard or similar and put mylar on it... i myself was going to use 2x6 pieces of styrofoam panels (besides being lazy), i have also seen friends make cheap wooden frames and just tape the mylar on or between two boards screwed together to keep it...

i have been very swamped lately and some of the replies may be too late but hey... ill just go on down the line, but first the PHEDOR is the shit! butaneless light hybrid vaporizer, i love this thing and it is so worth the 150$ to not have nasty cancerous headache from butane and butane fumes...

nongreenthumb, i thought about that before, but the drainpipes are only 4" so i was concerned the water would be too high and come out the side or something but after seeing it both drip and ebb/flow it looks like it would be just fine angled in, and would probably be better too...

lagunitas rules... they also have an Undercover Shutdown Ale... this is from last year when undercovers from SoCal decided to try to set them up for their 4:20 beer parties on thursdays... but after weeks nobody would sell them weed but were more than happy to smoke them out... so they shut down...

yea its in a 5x5 area, normal 8' ceilings... the problem so far is that the netcups dont go far enough down into the hole to reach the water which is only a couple inches deep... i should have just filled the tubes with medium and then transplanted them directly into it, only now they are in...

so made some adjustments into the next grow... first, the open side was replaced with 3 levels and one open for access... just cut off the T and glued on 4" endcaps and another 45degree angle and another 2 foot or so piece of drainpipe... much better and added 9 plants... total of 89 now...

i wouldnt want to grow 3 foot plants in an omega... which i remember it being about 4' in diameter.. but strength lies in smaller plants and higher numbers... only a few days veg..

filthy, i remember the old omega had a wheel type thing on the motor that spun and was against the big wheel spinning it, i think the new ones are gears. maybe somewhere say the middle there can be ball bearings or something or maybe rollers under the wheel to make it easy to spin... if you can...

problems i have ran into so far: 1. mites.. off the bat the clones were very mildly infected with spider mites... usually i dip the clone when i take it in a neem/pyrethrum/soap mixture then dip again at transplanting when it has roots then spray neem every few days all in veg.. always...

    The Octagon

yes! the rotating sideways garden is the best. think of it this way... phototropism the plant grows towards light, there are hormones that go to the shaded side to make it grow faster, which is why it bends towards the light. gravitropism where it grows up is the same thing, such as scrog, the...

this is my first time growing in this thing. clones were thrown in with 0 veg time, except 20 that were vegged 3-4 days. im just experimenting with the yields/stretch/etc... so some are scrawny cuz they may have only had barely one root, also some are OG KUSH which stretch to all hell. i have...

    container soil temperature control?

bury the bucket that is a great idea i had not thought of! that would work and let me move the plant if i needed to pull it up in an emergency. another reason i would like some plants in containers is so i can move them around to the best sun spots as they change. another reason is so i dont...

any growers successfully using co2 in greenhouses?

thanks guys. i know it will increase yields but how much say compared to indoor 20-30% yield increase. or is outside just 20-30% more as well (even though outdoor is higher yielding initially) or is it 40-60% more? co2 use at night is a waste as the stomata which take in the co2 is closed and...
