I started a new thread, and I also had the AC off while I flushed and it raised again. Unless small amounts of 1040PPM can dilute 12Gallons of 340PPM aaalllllll the way back up to 1040PPM !! I will try to make it so that the AC does not hit the water directly thought, thanks everyone.

sorry I am posting again, but I flushed my 12 gallon system today. Before the PPM was 1040! I pumped all the water out today. I usually run the water through a brita filter to lower the PPM to a reasonable 300 but its been so high I figured Ide just try to lower it by flushing it...didnt work...

does thicker water raise PPM? my air conditioner may have been freezing a small amount of area on the top of the surface and when I put the airstone in it broke up and distributed. I dont think its that.

actually, I put the nutes in last night, I remember checking the PH and PPM and they were 5 and 400, normal. I did add the airstone just last night though, that might be distributing that slight film to the buckets.

What is a good liquid solution to soak my used air stones in so that all the gunk from the old roots comes off? I soaked them in soapy water and some of the gunk is still stuck on them. Same goes for the tubbing, what is a good solution to soak all my old parts in to get rid of old nutrients/ gunk?

true.. Actually I just reallized that the way to do it is to let a branch suck up the dye while its still alive. I was thinking about straight up puttin the clipped and curred bud in dye...would the dye affect the taste? would putting my currd bud in a watery dye screw up the bud?
