Nope i took madrush's advice and bought a hand microscope that adjust in 60x 80x and 100x and have been keeping an eye on the trics daily

Nope they are cheap like 9 bucks at lowes and it test ph light and moisture... i use a digital ph meter for my ph levels though and to your question yes i used the finger test by poking my finger in the soil and if the first few inches were dry then i would water you can check out my grow for...
