    Far UVC research 222 nm

Here's a link from M'soft news: https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/health-news/tests-show-uvc-lamps-could-light-the-way-in-virus-fight/ar-BB13QOpt?ocid=msedgntp Seemingly there are very short wavelength lamps that kill viruses and bacteria but shouldn't hurt our eyes or skin. The far-UVC is...

HLG 260's on a light mover

I just got two of the new RSpec HLG 260s delivered and I'm replacing my single HID thouie. I've always loved my Gualala Robotics 3.5 mover. It left the factory in 2004 and has gone though a few rebuild kits. I also have an extra trolley. I'd like to mount the LEDs side by side on the light mover...

How long from pollenation to seeds?

Posting in newbies to avoid being treated like an idiot for asking a question that has been answered many times before. Searches about how long seeds take seem to be about having them mailed. Anyway, I started some Strawberry Banana DHN clones at the beginning of March. A couple of weeks later I...

Taproot from seed: Point it up or down?

I haven't grown from seed in years but I have some Humboldt Seed Co Blueberry Muffin seeds that are just cracking and showing a taproot. I'm wondering if anybody has any experience with the GroBucket SIP inserts available on Amazon. I was hoping to use them with 7 or 10 gallon cloth bags. Links to comparable DIY plans also welcome. I have cloth bags and would rather avoid buying a bunch of 5 gallon plastic ones and I'd like to...

    Giant Mutant Fungus Gnats

Might be the nematodes, the food-grade diatomaceous earth and the cedar oil affecting their pituitary glands. Somebody else mentioned their gnats getting bigger, inspiring the illustration. I'm finally making some headway soaking the soil surface and the outside of my cloth bags with good old...

Watering Can from Apple Juice Jug

If you drill holes in the top to a juice jug it still won't work very well as a watering can because of the vacuum. One solution is to poke a hole in the handle. Using a length of air hose to break the vacuum leaves the jug intact and sealable. This will also work with a glass jug.

    Sticky Mats

My first post! One of my nephews works in IT near a clean server room and he passed on the info that most of the contamination brought in by people is on the soles of their shoes. They use sticky mats to catch it. The mats were easy to find on Amazon with a sticky mat search. I got a package of...
