Having some pretty bad issues. Help me out please?

Hey everyone! Im having a hard time nailing down what the issue in my room is. I'm NOT a soil grower and have been having problems with the ones in dirt. I don't think this is an over/under watering thing, but I suck with soil. Maybe a lockout? Here's the specs: FFOF with 20% perlite Ph water...

Bubba Nubs verticle garden of green

that's a nice rack system... legit.... but 2.3gpw? That'd put you above Heath Robinson, and he had a more efficient light spread... I'm not hatin, I just don't see it... maybe I'm missing something?

Soil on rockwool to start hydroponic

I recommend to just tear a tiny corner of the cube off and loosely plug the hole with it. Putting soil on it is generally not a good idea, as you don't want to introduce any potential pathogens the soil may hold, into your hydroponic system.

    Best Chiller, anyone?

Lush- chillers hardly make any noise, especially compared to an inline fan. TGH- Yeah mini fridges use quite a bit of power also... Most chillers are more efficient that the standard mini-fridge, but the fridge is dual purpose... so take that as you will. In the end- Plumbing a fridge...

    Best Chiller, anyone?

You could get away with running a 1/10hp chiller if you insulate your rez and remove it from your tent/room. I can chill my 40G rez by 15F with an EcoPlus 1/10th by doing that. That should put you in your target range of 66-68F.

I would say you have alot of powder/salts buildup there because you didnt rinse your perlite. Al used the floc pretty much just as a filter, and to weigh the pot down. Since you don't have the problem of your pots floating in the wilma, and since you're using perlite, I would look into a "pot...

    venting over 10 ft?

Just put the filter at the beginning of the line If you run passive intake. Filter<Fan<Out If the tube is going straight up the heat will help it get there also.

Here's an excerpt from the Al B Fact thread- page 34 How he uses Rockwool Flock- Yep, perlite will work pretty well. It can escape the pot drain holes, so a 25-50mm layer of floc, tightly packed in the bottom of each pot, keeps the perlite (or Fytocell) in the pot while allowing water to...

Al B used straight perlite for his flood/drain trays. He only used rockwool to stuff the drainage holes in his pots, and to clone in. He filled the pots with perlite, set the rockwool half way buried, and flooded the tray until the water was JUST BELOW the rockwool. Rockwool can get...

    venting over 10 ft?

If you have an air cooled hood, you should run one 4" for just the hood, one for exhaust.

Whats causing this weird Leaf texture (hd pics)

Usually that'd be a sign of PH being off, but since you say its steady 5.8, I'd check the underneaths of the leaves for possible insects. Do you have a good meter? If you're using the drops/tabs, your ph may be off.

E.C- Not good, dude. The only time i've ever seen r/w at the bottom of a pot is when Al B Fuct used it to stop his perlite from falling out of the drainage holes.... It holds alot of water, and shouldn't be planted into when it is soaked like that. AL B Fuct (look him up) soaked r/w for clones...

    Lighting Question CFL

Ty- With all your lights, you're running 182w. If you're hellbent on using floros, I would suggest getting a 4x4 T5 that pulls only slightly more juice, but will give you more lumens, and a better coverage area. Optimally, you'll be best off getting a small HID ballast... they are more...

Are the Girls Ready for Harvest?

Actont is pretty spot on here. Here's my take on it, since you didn't say your genetics- For Indicas, I'll let them get to 10% amber to get more of a couchlock. For Sativas, I'll harvest as soon as they're all cloudy. It keeps it an "uppy" high, but lets you know the plant lived it's full life...

The Saiga 12 with an AA drum is the way to go, bro. Dont even bother with the other drums for it, and stick to the 20rd. i know, i know... the 30rd is hella sick, but it doesn't perform as well. Then load it up with some crazy dope shit. http://www.firequest.com/exotic-shotgun-ammo.html. Make...

FlowaMasta's Methodology @ How to Grow Monster pound plants!!! ( Jack H X Skunk )

Nice, Flowa. Thanks for the response, Tips! I'm going to have to adjust my Res now! These lines have been a real hassle, considering they have a natural curve to them from the roll they were on. A canal bottom pot? I haven't seen anything like that here in the states. It's hard enough trying to...

FlowaMasta's Methodology @ How to Grow Monster pound plants!!! ( Jack H X Skunk )

Hey flowa, When I go back and look at your page 1 pics, It looks like your return line is plumbed into your rez near the bottom? How high off the ground is it? Do you have "water table" issues? It seems like the rez water should backflowing into your pot? I have mine plumbed above the water...

    Problems with ph dropping rapidly?

SuperStoner is spot on. What are you using for pH UP/DWN? Make sure it's not organic if you're running a sterile rez.

A few ?'s for the Heisenberg Tea users.

^True dat. My temp in my rez was 70 max, but my feed/return lines were warm, which is where the rot war being harbored. It got swept into the rez, but didn't go crazy there due to the h202 treatments. DM Zone did the trick for me.
