using river water to water plants

I use creek water and pond water to water my plants and don't pH adjust anything. I guess you should consider where the river is coming from and if there are any pollutants dumped into it or not. If not you should be fine.

    I Got BudRot!!!!

it may be a small bit of it. It looks like some I've got. Your bud was able to do most of its finishing before it got hit though it looks like. All the rain we had in July from the hurricanes caused all of the rot in my garden.

    I Got BudRot!!!!

I've been dealing with the same thing, first in my indoor and now in my outdoor. Its a humidity/air flow thing I guess, and when I remedied the humidity and put in an additional fan it quit spreading. Where it was infected turned brown and died. Where it was alive looked a lot like really...

    Midwest Corn

there is definately seed like growth on the plants that were sprayed, but the ones that weren't aren't seeding, so I don't think anything was pollenated. I didn't plant any males, so that wasn't the problem. It was the spraying. There will be a crop. Its just a question as to whether or not...

    Midwest Corn

pics aren't going to happen, sorry. My camera is crap and I'm not good at all that stuff anyway. I haven't gone back out, but I'm certain they were all females before. Is it possible to have it switch and start making male flowers? It really just looks like little bulbous growths around...

    spider web looking fungus

Sorry, pics aren't going to happen. If you had seen a fungus like this you would know right away from my description. Anyone else have this happen? I know it was humidity and lack of ventilation thanks to moving the fans!

    spider web looking fungus

I'm pretty sure its a fungus and not spider mites. I'm a science teacher and this is not my first grow either. I just said it was a spider web looking fungus for description, it is not really spider webs. the humidity got way too high in my flowering chamber with all of this rain, and my...

    Midwest Corn

the plants that were sprayed are all still alive, although the spraying has created some side effects. Most of these plants were in week 3 or so of flowering when they were sprayed, and afterward the flower development seemed to take a backseat to the plants preserving themselves. It appears...

    spider web looking fungus

So we're done with eight weeks of flowering and our densist bud turns out to have a spider web looking fungus growing in the middle of it. We clipped it off, and wiped out as much of the fungus and dead plant material as possible. Is there any other treatment for this besides lowering humidity...

    Midwest Corn

they are all still alive, yet some curling is still going on. I found out what was sprayed on them. 24D, Tordon and Remedy, with a little surfactant. I'm just hoping the rinsings I've given them, along with what rain we have had, will help flush them and allow them to rebound. they've been...

    Midwest Corn

my plants were on a dyke around a pond that is very hard to get to. I have grown successfully there in the past, but some of the locusts bushes were getting big and there was a really big one by my plants so Dad did some spraying. I think I got out there to wash them off within 36 hrs, but...

    Midwest Corn

I think my dad uses roundup and he just went spray happy all over my secret garden. Dos anyone have any tips on how to save a plant that has been sprayed with herbicide? Buds are just starting to form, plants are droopy with spots of yellowing. I had two not get hit that are ok, but six are...

Any benefit of drying the entire plant whole?

what exactly is proper humidity during hanging, and what are some ways you achieve that yet keep stealth? I'm going to have a nice crop in october and I don't want to screw it all up by drying and/or curing wrong.

Any benefit of drying the entire plant whole?

that's pretty much what I've been doing, but I think some heat and root rot got to my last harvest before it was really done, which is why it is a little dry and a little harsh. A lot of the leaves turned yellow and dried up, and the buds didn't quite fill out like I think they could have. I...

Any benefit of drying the entire plant whole?

I'm working on my harvesting and curing techniques. Is there any difference or benefit from taking the entire plant, root ball and all, and hanging it upside down to dry versus cutting off the buds and hanging them by their stems to dry? Cutting the stems is the method I've used previously...

Is this normal for an aerogarden grow?

Heat was definately an issue. I was out of town for a while and my partner in crime was watering and left the lid to the res open. We're certain that is one of the main reasons too. Direct light on the roots for about 24 hrs. We've since cooled down the basement by running some fans and...

Is this normal for an aerogarden grow?

update a month later it is good bud, definately better than mexican brick! Its white widow so its a real cerebral high, a clearer high, with full body pain relief. It's not one hit shit, but I imagine potency can only increase with more production from the plant before the roots die like...

Is planting clones outdoors late in summer OK?

thanks for the quick replies everybody. I'm really stoked about this year. I've had past experience growing outdoors, but this year I'm taking it to another level. Started an indoor stealth cab early in the spring, and I was able to get some healthy white widow mothers going. These and a few...
