Senate Passes Bill – Only Governor Chafee Can Stop Bill Now

HIPPA covers medical information. Period. Just because there's someone federally illegal going on, it does not suddenly invalidate that protection. In fact, this is *exactly* the kind of thing that HIPPA was passed to protect against -- private medical information being used against you. The...

Senate Passes Bill – Only Governor Chafee Can Stop Bill Now

    > Every had a chance to bitch and now they start Not really. The original bill (that cut plant count down to 3 I think) had plenty of comment from the public, and died. This amendment was sprung 3 days before the session closed, skipped all committee meetings where comments can be made, and was...

Senate Passes Bill – Only Governor Chafee Can Stop Bill Now

This was such a blatant display of RI corruption, it boggles the mind. Introduce it with 2 days left, no debate, go on break and spend the $$$ that the dispensary owners gave you in a black bag.

Looking for a couple of patients

I'm looking for a couple more drama-free patients with legit RI cards who need regular access to organic meds in flower, oil, edible and bubble form. PM me for more info.

anyone else get a call from slater center today?

A friend just took in a bunch of nice, properly-purged BHO to Slater. They offered $15/g, and would be selling it to 3x to 4x that... So much for the "new" buyer. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

    RI patients need you!

A couple of things: As of a couple of years ago, the threshold for issuing a 1099 was $600/year. Legally, you are obliged to pay quarterly taxes, whether a 1099 was issued or not, on any freelance money. The fact that you can pretty much safely ignore that without much fear (as long as there...

    RI patients need you!

As much as I dislike what has gone down with Slater, this is just plain wrong. Here's what you pay as 1099: Roughly 15% off the top for FICA. This would normally be half paid by your employer (on a W2 basis), but since you're both the employer and the employee, you get to pay both halves...

    First visit to Slater today

Dropped in for the first time in awhile today. A half-dozen or so strains, and a bunch of too-expensive concentrates (what happened to the $20/g hash? It's now $35-$45 :( ). Left without purchase.

    First visit to Slater today

I make a lot of hash with my caregiver's trim, so I'm not willing to pay more than $20/g for it. I figured it wouldn't take long for $20/g to go away, it was way too close to being a good deal...

    First visit to Slater today

That seems to be a pretty fair assessment. What was the pricing on the Headband hash? The only thing I left with on opening day was some very nice Subcool hash that was decently priced ($20/g). If they have something new in at that range, I'll swing by.

    $440 ounces @ Slater

NoBull - Yeah, that was kind of a tongue-in-cheek comment. I know for a fact the $$$ isn't going to the growers. Your guy isn't the only one who said "screw these guys" when they found out the offer from Slater...

    $440 ounces @ Slater

As someone who got caught up in it both times, 11th State had two issues. The first (and main) issue was that they had a nurse practitioner signing recommendations. DOH decided they didn't like that suddenly, and anyone who had an application in with an NP signature was rejected (both me and my...

    What are cuttings considered?

I met with a lawyer this week and asked that specific question. According to the letter of the RI law, there is no difference between a clone and a seedling, even if it hasn't rooted. There is federal case law that says that unrooted clones don't count as plants, but that would have to be...

    $440 ounces @ Slater

Now Joel is posting pics of $176 Diesel ounces. I sure wish they'd had that in the case when I was there :(

    $440 ounces @ Slater

Re-read the first post. They claimed they were *not* going to be selling at that high of a price point. And yet, there they are (and there were only 2 strains available I saw at the $90/quarter point, everything else was more expensive). My cg just lowered his prices to $250/z out of concern...

    $440 ounces @ Slater

When we took the tour, it was flat out stated that they weren't going to be selling $400 ounces. Guess what? Quarters going from $90 to $110 @ Slater. And I'm guessing the extra $$$ isn't going into the pocket of the growers. :( Caveat emptor. On the up side, I'm sure it will make current...

    RI patients need you!

$360 is ridiculous at what they're paying. Sheer profiteering.
