Do it, put my babies under 400w hps after vegging in cfl's when i started flowering ... they went crazy!!! Never hurts to have more light ... just watch your temps, they get harder to regulate (at least for me). Good Luck!

Yeah, fluorescents aren't great for flowering, so your yield might be a bit disappointing w/ that t5 and a few cfl's. I just bought an hps after using 24 14-24 watt cfl's, and my plants have responded viciously well :) ... I would personally try and find a way to use that t5 more efficiently...

ebay it, you can usually find some good stuff on ebay for cheap. Also htg supply (google it) is what everyone I hear references. I need an hps :(

i keep my 100 watters 2 inches away ... plants dig it ... only worry should be the heat. Too hot ... and you'll notice :(. If you can keep your hand on it for a while I wouldn't worry too much. Most of my plants I let grow into my floro tubes due to the low temps and I haven't had any probs.
