for a 3 X 3 foot area a 400 watt HID is a much better fit. also, it will stink and wont do that well unless you have some sort of exhaust fan blowing into a activated charcoal filter. if its in its own room you should be fine on heat as long as you are sure to ventilate, excess heat kills...

aeroponic on a low budget? if you have a good high-pressure pump laying around you might be able to pull it off. imo just stick with the DWC. "if it ain't broke don't fix it."

i second that. measure it though, but im thinking a 250 watts of HPS would be a good fit. also, one plant per square foot is the closest you want to get them.

for a square meter 250 watts of HPS won't be enough. you want at least 50 watts or 7000 - 10000 lumens for a square foot. maybe buy another 250 watt HPS light or some CFLs?
