Interesting about the lightning nitrogen fixage ^^. The question has been answered, but just think about a natural environment. The plant has survived and hundreds of thousands of years outside with rain and whatnot, and it is essential to bud to carry on, so rain won't hurt your pirty lil'...

The stem/branches are a lot stronger now that it's started budding vs. Veg and you could easily fuck up a supercrop by it completely snapping (I've done this). I wouldn't do anything unless space is an issue. A very tender tie down if anything at all. Just my thoughts..
