    Tolerance is too high now

I'm not. Been there, done that. I was surprised too the first time I abstained for longer than a day or two. People say that marijuana is only psycologically addictive, but I have found that there are three distinct physical symptoms of withdrawal. 1) Night sweats 2) vivid dreams 3) Feeling sped...

    Balcony ganjah!!!

Absolutely, no question about it. It will stink to high heaven when your in the middle to the end of flowering. 15 feet of distance, either way (up, down, left, or right) won't make a difference. People will smell it.

LED Grow Lights: Separating Fact from Fiction

I thought I should clear up the misinformation about the luminous efficacy of various lighting technologies. Who ever said LEDs are 80% efficient is plain wrong. The following is a list of lighting technologies and their corresponding efficiency in lumens/watt and total percent of energy...

    Root Question

It's not an opinion, it's fact based on observation. This is probably more accurate than "light kills roots", however light isn't the real issue. Low humidty/moisture and/or lack of water is what kills roots. Where there is intense light, there is usually low humidity and/or lack of moisture...

    Root Question

Yes, this is fine. However, you'd be better off just using regular pots with holes in the bottom with your particular setup. This is a fallacy, light will not kill roots. Low humidty/lack of water will kill roots. I have had roots extend up to 6" out of the holes in my pots on my flood table...

    waste nute solution

No, not at all. I run a drain to waste system, so I often (twice a week) have to dump a 5 gallon bucket full of waste nutes. Sometimes, especially if it's shitty out or if I'm too lazy, I'll just dump it down the drain, but most times I use it to water outdoor plants, trees, etc. This past...

    Help Starting Seeds In Rockwool

With all due respect, some of you are unnecessarily complicating the germination issue. It's really a simple matter. Wet (don't soak) your medium with plain water (PH if necessary), poke your seeds into the medium about 1/4 inch deep so that the seed lays side on, then put them in a warm place...

    Bubbler Bucket PH dilema

First of all, lemon juice is not something you should rely on as an effective PH down. Sure it may be ok in a pinch to get you out of a jam, but not long term. Get yourself some real hydroponic PH down like nitric or phosphoric acid, which is way more effective than lemon juice. Secondly, your...

    Nutrient Use: More or less?

This would be the best schedule. It's better to feed in small doses more often, than to feed in larger doses less often.

Whats this stuff on my hydroton?

It's dried nutrient salt. Don't worry about it.

plants yellowing in 2nd week of flower!!!

You're confusing the problem by using too many "rocket fuels". You only need a good 2 or 3 part hydro nutrient to grow perfectly healthy plants. Try simplifying your grow next time. As for right now, you could change out your res with fresh nutes and no additives and give that a try. You won't...

    Branches breaking???

Plant virus maybe? Just a guess, it's an unusual problem.

    fan leafs

No. Don't pull any healthy leaves from the plant. The fan leaves are carb factories which are providing for your buds. It's ok to remove unhealthy leaves, however.

    Curling down and canoeing problem?

Yeah, it's definitely over-ferted (too much nitrogen to be specific). Ease off on the N for that particular plant. The rest seem to be taking it just fine.

    question for the indoor growers

No, there's no way it will be ready in 30 days. You could just buy a digital timer, a small cheap pump and a rubbermaid container and automate your watering schedule.

Dying Leaves At the Bottom! HELP!

There's your problem. Way too much phosphorus in relation to nitrogen (1:9:4 NPK ratio) causing a nitrogen deficiency and other problems. The ratio should be more like 1:2:2. Get something closer to 5-10-10. You should flush immediately before you end up losing all your foliage, then add a 1:2:2...

Looking good man. However, I think you've got more than 2-3 weeks left on those.

    Shit... Left the lights on...

This could be enough to stress them. The only thing you can do now is to get them back on schedule. You really need to pick up a timer, then you won't have to worry about manually switching the lights on and off everyday, and thus, won't have to worry about stressing your plants.

    Using Hard Water

Hook it up to your original source water (ie. hard water supply). Yes it will. My source water is from a deep water well, and I end up with water with 8 ppm TDS @ 7.0 PH.

Do you have any heaters in your basement? Why not bump the basement temp up to 70?
