from the way he says lowermainland im guessing he means the area in or around vancouver. vancouver doesnt get very hot in the summer nor does it get very cold in the winter. you could probably grow almost anything.

should i use more nutes than normal since they will only be getting less amount than a plant in the ground would get? like for instance say a plant in the ground gets 2tsp a month, at 1/2tsp a week. when using burlap shouldnt you put 2tsp in just once a month? (i know those numbers arent right...

thanks for the info shaman. last question. where exactly is the plant being put in the burlap? if its a burlap bag it will already have one end open right? cause i though i read somwhere that you said to cut a whole in it. but if it already had an open end and you cut a hole to grow in...

so the roots actually grow through the sac and into the ground? this means that after the roots grow into the ground the sac cannot be moved, correct? and if there is no watering involved, how are the plants given fox farm nutriets?

in pots because the water level is about 4 inches under the soil. but i dont wanna buy pots. i dont see anything wrong with using garbage bags.

its a great idea but i cant find one. what do you guys think about filling large plastic garbage bags with 5-7 gallons of good topsoil/potting soil and growing in that instead of buying pots? Cheap and effective in my mind. Just poke some1/4 inch holes in the bottom for drainage.

1 problem. they virtually dont sell them anymore!!! now days its all the inflatable crap at walmart, target, sears, etc. i cant find a plastic baby pool in a store for the life of me. wtf.

ya i mean pour the correct amount in a liter bottle with water or somthing then pour it on the plants roots when it rains. The rain would mix anyway whats the difference?

Would it be alright to feed plants fox farm nutrients on days its raining or going to rain instead of mixing it with gallons of water all at once?

The problem got worse guys. It hasnt rained in days, and today was about 80degrees F, but the water is now only 6inches below the surface!!! i cant plant in ground that floods like that. I know i have to use pots, but do you think i should cut the bottoms off and bury them an inch, or just drill...

Is this possible? What would happen if i planed some germinated seeds right at the summer solstice or even a week or 2 or 3 after the summer solstice when light is switching to 12/12?

how could anybody actually do this though? you would have to be at your grow site at the same time every day to cover and uncover it. Even if your growing outdoors at your home, how could you do this without missing even just a day?
