Also I was able to create a PWM fan controller on a breadboard that can control all of my Arctic 11 plus fans simultaneously, providing them with a clean PWM signal to their 4th wires. This allows me to control the speed with a 2-98% duty cycle, which gives me better control over sound in my...

Hey AP, I have arctic 11 plus heatsink/fans for each of my 5 Vero 13's which are being driven by a single meanwell HLG dimable driver (350mA-700mA). I have 4 3500k and 1 4000k. I also already have the pico ezmate connectors. My cobs are mounted on the heatsinks with pk-3 and kapton tape, with...

Hey fellas, I am having trouble finding switches rated for high enough DC voltage to operate each Vero 13 alone. I am running 5 total, and was planning to just have 1 on for veg, and 5 on for flower. I may have to just disconnect the 4 manually. Are 5 Vero 13's @ 350mA too strong for a...

And should I run a different temp light in the middle/veg? Or should I go all 3500k? It probably doesnt matter that much eh? Especially in my small application. Or I could be completely wrong, if it has a drastic affect on stretch management.

5000k or 4000k for the middle light out of 5, and for sole use during seed/veg? I am going to grab the Mean Well driver, but put a switch between the driver and the 4 3500k Vero 18's, while running the 4/5000k Vero 18 straight (always on with driver). All 5 lights would dim on the same power...

Oh, forgot to ask the main question that brought me back! I need driver advice if I am indeed going through with the above situation. I was recommended to use an AC/DC constant voltage PSU using individual DC/DC bucks per COB if I am wiring more than 4. Should I follow that advice? I found an...

Hey everyone, I'm back after a brief hiatus. I am still trying to set up a light for a 2'x1'x3' space, meaning height limitations. I'm thinking 1 rectangular light unit that has 5 LED COBs each on their own Arctic 11 Plus. The sole middle light would be a Vero 13 3500K @500-700mA. The outer 4...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Does anyone know a good source that compares 3000k vs 3500k spectrums and the main differences (pros/cons) between the two? They may be too close to notice a difference in my small 2 sqft setup.

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

@SupraSPL or @Positivity have yall messed with using all 3500k spectrum whites? There's been a bit done with 3000k.

@bicit Thanks! Yeah I'll probably just solder. Save's money too (I already have the soldering gear).

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

If I want to run multiple chips in series on a dimmable HLG driver, but my mains are 110/15A, how would I pull >150 volts to power the driver...

Yeah sorry for being such a nuisance. I saw those up there, I didn't know how they adjusted though (be it a screw driver or what-not). Guess I could have waited for it to arrive to see, or use trusy google. Cheers.

Could you give me a quick rundown on how I would adjust the output current on an HLG driver? It says it uses in internal type A pentiometer.

Well my idea was actually to use a single piece of plywood (or MDF) about 2'x1' as a frame. I would drill 6 holes in it that the COBs would shine through and the heatsinks would be mounted in/on. This way all of the wires, driver, etc could remain above the board, and the COBs shine downward out...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

What would be a good way to drive 6 Vero 18 3500k's with dimming function from ~350-700mA?

With that being the case I'm fine going with the Arctic heatsink/fans. I've done many PC builds so I have no problem working with many fans and powering them. I'm just trying to figure out how to drive 6 Vero 18's now, dimmable from ~350-700mA. Probably going to post on @SupraSPL's sticky on...
