the small plant is now out budding the big one, it has some nice hairy little tops on it, while the big one is still only showing a few young flowers. pics later, 12 days in today, excitedddddd.

It will definitely help, it might not be neccesary but more is better! it doesnt have the spread to benefit the whole garden but a shaded area or something, just place it as close as possible to the plant without burning.

both plants just showed sex at 5 days of flowering. funn stufff. the hps hasnt been setup and neither have some of the lights, the hps doesnt like to be used on the same circuit with the other stuff. kindof a bitch. but who cares, im officially budding :blsmoke::blsmoke::blsmoke:

you could try doing 12/12 from seed, from what i read they can show sex within 2 weeks and would take the other 8 weeks to flower, obviously depending on strain.

I just got a 70W hps floodlight, it had the white/black/ground wires, i wired it to a cord i salvaged from an old computer. the light fires up and works fine when plugged directly into a wall, but when i use an extension cord (which i need to for the location of my room) it craps out after it...

im probably more of a noob than you are, but ive' heard its completely normal for leaves to go yellow at the end of the plants life, because all the energy is being concentrated on the buds (or something to that effect)

if you dont mind,what were the other details of your grow? im using a similar amount of wattage, (except mine is a 200W on top and then 12 23W cfls, and a 70W hps) and im trying to find what i might be able to yeild from a similar setup.

is it just me or is this the third or fourth topic about this same light setup?

when you bloomed those 14 plants, what was the yeild (total and per plant)?

10000k? are those bulbs like, extremely blue or something? ive never heard of 10000k.

depends on the portion of the grow. for flowering, use warm white (2700 or 3000k), for vegetation and seedlings and clones use the coolest white , bright white bulbs (6500k)
