Brown Algae (snot) and GH Subculture (pics)

Looking at your pictures... I have a question. First of all, do you use a separate resv. for your nutes so that the roots are not constantly sitting in the nutes? (Picture shows full of nutes) If not, then you are drowning them.

    any problem with running a 40a 240v timer on a 240v 80a breaker?

Also... you mentioned you are only running 2 - 1000's. You really only need to use 12/3 with a 20amp two pole ciruit breaker or fused disconnect.

    any problem with running a 40a 240v timer on a 240v 80a breaker?

10/3 is adequate for 30amp. How are you making the connection to the existing circuit? Junction box? I hope. And really, you should put a 30amp fuse or circuit breaker disconnect in there to be proper and safe (after the furnace connection). Let me know if your not following me. I will sketch...

    Need help with ppm

Excellent! Glad all is well. BTW... With C02, lower to mid 80's is fine for temp. I used to grow with hydroton and in veg, feeding 3 times a day was perfect. When I moved to flower, I up'd it to 4 times a day and even 5 times a day when, in the summer, the temp was higher and the rh was...

    Need help with ppm

85 is bit warm during veg and the rh a bit low. But really... I think the watering schedule along with too high of ppms is the real issue. My veg room runs at 74 with 65 - 70 rh.

    Need help with ppm

I believe you are watering to often. What is the media in the buckets? Hydroton? Coco? Soil? Got any pictures? I grow in rockwool cubes and during veg, I water only twice a day during daylight. It is normal for the ppm's to slightly rise, slightly drop or remain the same... I repeat ---...

    Yellow Leaves every time

Whats the end ratio of NPK when you mix your nutes? It is common in flower for people to use way to much bloom enhancer and way to little of the grow nutes... the end result is the plant lacks nitrogen and you get pre-yellowing. My plants used to do exactly what yours are doing. Now that I have...

    any problem with running a 40a 240v timer on a 240v 80a breaker?

That would be fine... as long as you are not exceeding the 40amp timer limits... AND the wiring for the 80amp circuit is appropriate size. What circuit in your place is on a 80amp circuit? Also, don't double-tap the 80amp breaker... good way to cause some problems for yourself.

    Rockwool Drip System Questions (

That might be too close. Just keep an eye on them. If they bleach out or get too hot, then move your light to about 12". My T-5's are 8 bulb 48"ers... so they do run warmer than yours. Also... again, it depends on how warm your grow area is and how hot the plants get under the lights.

    Rockwool Drip System Questions (

Ok... so, soak the cubes overnight in balanced water. You can put about 1/8 to 1/4 nutes if you want. But no stronger. At this stage you dont want to give them too strong of nutes. They are too delicate. Plant the seedlings and then wait till they are about 75% lighter and feed them again...

    Rockwool Drip System Questions (

No. If you feed them that much right now, they will damp off and surely die. What you need to do is this... Hold your rockwool cube while it is dry. Feel how light it is... then after you soak the cubes, feel how heavy it is. OK... so... now you have a reference point. Now... you want to feed...

how many watts on one outlet?

14 gauge wire is only good for 15 amp circuit. 20 amps uses 12 gauge. Sounds like someone changed the bedroom 15amp circuit breaker to a 20amp breaker after the fact. Definitely not a safe situation.
  13. roka

    Dumbass question.

You can change the timer, no problem. Just do it while the plants are in the dark cycle. The light cycle is what's important not to interupt.

A ductless air conditioner www.acwholesalers.com/Wall-Mounted-Single-Zone-ductless-mini-splits-s/86.htm or a chiller with icebox from www.hydroinnovations.com/product6.php Both work very well.

    Very Good Question!(Advanced)

Set yourself up a net about 6 to 8 inches below the tops of the plants. Then de-larf the plants. Some people call this lollipopping. Basically you want to remove the lower 2/3 of the budsites (I know.. sounds harsh). Make it look like an umbrella. The result is that all the energy will then...

It is my understanding through my friend in cali that: If you are a member of a collective (dispensary), you can cultivate and provide the needed amount of medical marijuana to the collective. The collective that my friend is a member of has approx 1200 members. According to the State...

How do I bandage a broken stem?

What strain is it? Some strains actually benefit from topping. Also, depending on your grow area, lighting situation, topping and S-cropping can help to maximize the use of your lumens... thus giving you a better yield. The tape idea may work... but for me.. I like to just support the branch...
