    How Does Your Garden Grow??????

Been a while since I stopped in, your plants are looking great Larry! Especially those big fat peppers! Are those the hungarian wax in the last picture in post #91? So envious of your outdoor growing space...8-)

Anybody here grow pepper plants, indoors, hydroponically?

Lol I used to watch a lot of shitty daytime television back when I created this user name. Yes, I did eat one. Was really high working in my garden a few weeks back and noticed a small ripe pod on the plant, my curiosity got the best of me and I took a small bite out of it...big mistake! It...

Anybody here grow pepper plants, indoors, hydroponically?

Picked these off my two plants this morning. The moruga scorpions are the hottest thing I've ever stuck in my mouth. :o

Anybody here grow pepper plants, indoors, hydroponically?

Yes, they've always been in 12/12. Peppers aren't photoperiod sensitive like cannabis, they will flower and produce peppers with only a few hours of direct sunlight a day. I'm sure growth would be more vigorous and yields larger (possibly larger pods too) with a longer photoperiod but I...

Anybody here grow pepper plants, indoors, hydroponically?

Short update since it's been a while. Culled the King Nagas since they weren't producing shit after 6+ months. Fuck em, life's too short and there's far too many pepper varieties out there to be wasting time with non-producers. I may fill the space they made with new varieties soon but now...

Anybody here grow pepper plants, indoors, hydroponically?

I too also read that super hots take a while to germ but that wasn't my experience. Had sprouts within 7-10 days on all varieties by just dropping the seed into rockwool under a humidity dome with a hearing mat and placed near a window. Lost one of the first of the reaper pods yesterday...

Anybody here grow pepper plants, indoors, hydroponically?

Cool, I'm always interested in learning about new varieties that may make it into my garden at some point. A mildly hot pepper with a good sweetness that I could just pluck off the plant and pop in my mouth would be awesome! My problem is limited space, so my future pepper choices will be more...

Anybody here grow pepper plants, indoors, hydroponically?

Update time: Another plant has started throwing peppers: I have Reapers! The plant is all the way in the corner and access isn't easy, so didn't discover them until topping off the nutrient solution today. They're beautiful, about the size of a gumball at this point. The plant has been...

    Non-Stop Deficiency Battle (PICS)

What are you using to measure pH and are you sure it's accurate?

Anybody here grow pepper plants, indoors, hydroponically?

Tasted like and had the kick of the store bought one I got the seeds out of. Used pretty much the whole thing in some slow cooked chili but it didn't have enough spice to really even tell it was there. I need to add more next time but I'd really like to see how one super hot would do...

Anybody here grow pepper plants, indoors, hydroponically?

Small update with fresh pics: They're loving the new light and location. I moved the 4 ft plants off the table and down onto folding chairs and now the canopy is nice and even. They're pretty top heavy too, so being in the corner and against the wall allows me to prop them up. Habaneros are...

    2016 veggie garden

Looking good Gary. I wish I had an outdoor space to plant some veggies. Since I don't, I'll follow along and live vicariously through you. :D

Don't give up! It just might make it!

I wasted a lot of time and money battling these spawns of satan. What worked for me was a few Forbid dunks over the course of a week or two. You can buy small, reasonably priced quantities on ebay. Prepare according to instructions in a bucket, place something over the soil to keep in place...

    Gavita or nanolux DE

The Nanolux features a horizontal ballast allowing you to mount higher on ceiling, has ceramic bulb holders instead of plastic (ie melting, fire hazard), can be driven at 1200w vs. 1150w, and costs $140 less than a Gavita. Why would the Gavita be a better choice? Am I missing something here?

Anybody here grow pepper plants, indoors, hydroponically?

I mix my own dry salts, but that probably won't help you at all since my peppers are not in dirt nor outside. Hopefully Larry, Vnsmkr, or KingBlunted can chime in and provide some insight for you.

Don't give up! It just might make it!

Yeah, big spider mite infestation. Pretty extensive webbing under leaves in second to last big pic and I can clearly see 4-5 of the fuckers hanging out on top of the leaves in the last pic. My condolences...I've dealt with mites before and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.

Anybody here grow pepper plants, indoors, hydroponically?

Nice. Have you decided which varieties? Thanks. Have heard good things about wax peppers. Have you grown them before and do you recommend them? What's the flavor and heat like? Well, I picked my first habanero yesterday, so hopefully you guys are right and these things start producing...

Anybody here grow pepper plants, indoors, hydroponically?

Alright, small update. Culled the brazilian ghost since it was pretty runty from the start and never produced flowers. Now down to 5 buckets, 4 varieties. Gave the remaining plants all haircuts. Hacked quite a bit off several of them since they were really starting to stretch out. I want...

Anybody here grow pepper plants, indoors, hydroponically?

Was looking back on photos of these peppers and they've been growing since early September! Not quick growing by any means and I still have yet to harvest a single pepper. :( I have one habanero looking really close to harvest...it's yellow colored, I'm waiting for orange before picking it...
