Thanks for the info. I'm still debating what to do. The weather is mild and giving me the time to procrastinate. From the sounds of it, it's not going to be as easy and simple as I want. I was thinking that I would have to dig a wide hole. I think i'm going to ride it out for the next few...
I live in the northeast and I have to dig up and transplant a female plant, and I am looking for a few pointers. Fortunately, it's been raining (but no sun) for the past two days -- after she got a little shocked a few nights ago with frost, the ground is wet and soft. The plant is about 4...
Thanks for the input.
I went and looked at her this morning before work and she looks ok, not great but it's raining today so that can't help. Today it is 55 and raining, tonight its supposed to remain "warm" at 50 and then tomorrow the forecast is 60 and partly rainy. It could be 90 by...
Okay, I'll dig her up tomorrow. What about inside lighting, i am not prepared for lighting. The room she'll go in does get good light. And she is flowering right now, probably about 4 weeks into it with some trichomes visable.
Thanks for the help.
I could dig her up and put her inside, but I figured that would kill it more then just trying to leave it outside... it would have to be a big pot to not damage the roots...
so I went home for lunch to take a look, she shook off the snow/frost and now appears to be fine, relativley speaking. the next few days are supposed to be mild, considering it's November, I wonder.... I don't want to cut her down,,, LOL
I know I was pushing it, but just a few days ago I thought I might overcome my first rookie move of planting late. :dunce: I had basically no chance of harvesting anything here, but I was still riding it out. :wall:
I had a beautiful little lady of a Kona Gold plant yesturday, today I pulled...
You're a lucky man.
I've been to a few of the Islands; the Big Island a few times; I was stationed on Oahu from 91-94 -- in 92 I went over to Kuai for clean-up after Hurricane Iniki. I want to, and will see the rest of them someday! Great people and a great way of life that I really enjoy...
I'm far from an expert, but Kona Gold is definatley its own strain. My uncle lives on the Big Island and is very good friends with the person who is known to have created it back in the 60's. I know him, he painted me a few paintings, he paints under "the Banyon tree" down in Kona on Ali Blvd...
hello All -
Newbie to growing here trying to learn from the pro's. I've been smoking since I was about 13, except for a short stint in the military. Now, approaching my 40's I'm looking to save some cash and grow my own stash. I started real late this year, I basically threw a couple of...
So, I have only one plant, and it is a female (what are the odds), so I shouldn't expect any seeds,,, but it could happen due to stress.
Good info, thank you.
I have a dumb question. Why do I get seeds in the bags that I buy? I assume they were female plants? I've been buying erb for years (not for long if i can get this growing thing down) anyway, I have a bagseed collection that fills up a spagetti jar, but I'm wondering how. Even if it's just one...

the bag seed was about 3 - 4 foot high. Ill get some pics up tonight. The gold plant loooks much different, lighter color and more dense with buds/flowers. I cant believe i got a girl but now the winter is gonna kill her. The gold plant is pretty much the same size height wise as the bag...
Thank you very much for the response. I ended up cutting down the bag weed plant, and it's drying in my basement. It was much further ahead anyway and I think I saw cloudy-tan tricomes on it under a scope.
But I saved the other -- I put a clear plastic bag over the Kona Gold plant and removed...
1st time grower here. I started late with some bags seeds and a few Kona Gold seeds that i got from my uncle who lives on the Big Island, I'm located in the south shore of Massachusetts.
For a late start (mid july in the ground), they seem to be doing well, although this is my first time...
