AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

LH, Great to have you aboard the thread, love what you did with the venturi. I have been tinkering with Aquaponics and Vermiponics recently and I was hoping I could eventually test my aero system with a straight organic solution from my soon to be vermiponics system. Nutrients are not my forte...

Constructing a Homebrew Atomix Air-Atomized Aeroponic System

I thought you already have a water pump/accumulator set up? Why dont you add a solenoid and test flow with the pump?

Furthermore, I dont know anyone using a pump close to 1000psi? HP aero when referred to in the majority of these threads is between 80-120psi on average. And they are much cheaper than the 1800.00 you quoted. It seems to me that there is a lot of reading and research still needing to be done...

I think the glass will work well outdoors have you thought about gelcoating it?

Constructing a Homebrew Atomix Air-Atomized Aeroponic System

I love your persistence TB. Fiberglass is what originally crossed my mind but I came to the conclusion to use polystyrene sheets as they are much cheaper at 12.00/ 4x8 pc. I am also going to run a cold line using 3/8 aluminum tubing. I got all my supplies in the mail two weeks ago but haven't...

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

Yeah, I already ruled it out. it was 25hp. A little overkill even by my standards. Im just going to pickup an ingersoll or campell with a dryer and oil separator so I can spray paint and run a supply line off it. Dryer obviously wont be used for the garden line. If it was a smaller unit...

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

Been thinking about the efficiency of my compressed air recently and considering replacing my gast oiless with a hydrovane or rotary screw compressor with a 110 gal or larger pressure tank. Im looking at a hydrovane right now that supplies 120 cfm. My thought is that because my nozzles demand...

Takes much more for me to be offended. You and I will just have to agree to disagree. I dont relly know what you mean by "Defined field of science" anyhow. As far as I know, no science is 100% defined and advancements are made continuously in any given field. Perhaps the reason agrihouse...

Gyro - It definitely tastes like basil. Thump - I have nothing current to show as I don't grow in the summer. All the issues I was having earlier this season are posted in this thread. PF - The bubbler idea is great for a hybrid system, perhaps in the future I may try it, but for now I am...

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

The more I consider cooling methods the more I realize a water bath is necessary. Even with internal coils, if the nutes and air are not chilled I am directly spraying warm solution onto the roots themselves. Right now I am considering installing a coil in just in the floor and utilizing a...

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

So your dryer removes vapor prior to the air entering the tank? Any equipment you can remotely utilize outside the room will lessen the heat within the room. I recommend keeping your ballasts, air compressor, and AC compressors all outside of the room in order to cut down on the electrical...

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

I spoke too soon, a vacuum insulated panel (vip) has a thermal resistance of up to 39 per inch! It would be awesome to utilize them in my chamber. One problem would be manufacturing the coil within the walls. I would need to build my chamber and then wrap it in custom sized panels. I would...

Baptism  the good Lord knows Im going to hell... Its been arranged. I love your ideas and methods used to incorporate them into AA. I dont know what extra r-value I would get out of a vacuum within my walls but I would probably end up building a 6" wall before I was able to incorporate...

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

Looks pricey. I was told that the air dryers are unnecessary being that they "blow off" the higher pressure 90+ psi in order to remove the vapor. The higher the pressure the more energy required to produce it, thus the more inefficient the system is if you are blowing it out of a tube to...

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

Most commercial hydro operations, as Im sure you know, utilize dwc for their systems. They are not as efficient with water, however it is much easier to maintain root temperatures. before my room was completed I began a cycle in my chamber and had great results. For some reason it didn't...
