I think the slime you're receiving is from dead root mass.. Hygrozyme breaks down the dead root mass and allows the plant to uptake the nutrients from it.. Hygrozyme does not have any bad effects that I have found so far.. I'd continue to use if I were you. I may be wrong though, but researching...
