    Always a hard gift to turn down - can't have your eggs in too many baskets as far as good genetics goes. Never know what may happen to one line or another, so I tend to sprout eggs in as many baskets as I have room for!

    Those girls look like the have been fed way too much to me. Sometimes, too much TLC can be harmful. Watering every 2 days may even be more water than they need, I know its more food than they need. Water when thirsty, feed when hungry.

    I think I am gonna mix in some Light Warrior along with the perlite. That will help ease my concerns regarding the nutrient content of the OPM.     Makes sense. My MG mix has served me well in the past while on a shoestring budget. I like having the nutrients available to my moms right there in the soil where they need them, with an occasional liquid boost as needed. I don't really have a choice in the soil base (FF OPM) at this point...
